I have not really seen anyone mention this, but isn't the reason Starfield's performance is so rough on everything because they are basically doing ray tracing through the new creation engine itself? I was under the impression their real-time global illumination was basically ray tracing, no?

Also, as an aside I picked up 7800XT today and with the $100 premium starfield included that is an absolute steal in todays GPU price inflated world!

Even on Ultra graphics look bland and mediocre. Games from 2018 like Assassin's Creed Odyssey or RDR2 are infinitely more beautiful and vibrant

Guys, I don't see were the amazing graphics are supposed to be in this game. The GPU demand on this thing is absolutely disproportionate to the quality of graphics it puts out, right? I haven't seen anything on this game that justifies it. Have you?
