I've not played pickleball, yet. I'm surprised by how slow the ball appears, particularly considering these two guys. I was expecting ball speed more like ping pong. I guess the ball is not as live as I thought... and/or the paddles don't permit as much control as tennis (or ping pong), so you don't want to whack it as hard...?

I agree with the comment about getting bored watching this - return & volley every point!! no variety - no judgement on John & Andre - that is the best tactic - just very dull. Played Padel last week - so much more diverse

As great as these guys are in tennis they don't hold a candle to top pickleball players so don't decide pickleball is a boring sport based on how it is played by 2 old tennis players.

I’ve lost all respect for all these tennis legends who clown around playing this disgusting sport. The noise that ball makes is torture. It is a sport made for bad tennis players to feel they can be semi decent at something. Somebody has got to do something about the materials od balls and racquets before we all go crazy. This sport is a threat to sanity

Pickle ball in my area is for Karen’s with giant visors who rant about rules and kitchens. I have been a tennis player and fan. It took me years to perfect my kick serve.. please don’t compare this to tennis..Ping pong or badminton never were compared with tennis. It’s a media money making thing. That’s why these 2 tremendous tennis greats are playing ping pong on a slightly larger table. Even the Karen announcer screaming the scores and foot faults is like the people who scream at pickle ball courts about losing points because u didn’t say the score loud enough

John's serve is illegal. A side arm serve in pickleball is a no no. Also when serving you can't use force on the ball, John is tossing it up slightly on his serve.

Look at the weight Andre has put on.

Its a pity that connors doesn't participate. He is just as funny and charismatic as john and andre. He's also a great of tennis.

They move lightly as overweight pensioners, which they are, haha. This is a pastime activity, a mobility exercise for the not yet dead. Don't confuse it with a competitive sport.

Boring to watch. Definitely not a spectator’s game, so I doubt it will draw in sufficient sponsorship to challenge tennis. It could be a haven for retired tennis players, who don’t want all the strain and injuries of big tennis, yet want to remain nimble.

When I played tennis in high school McEnroe was my hero. I always liked watching Agassi play too. To see these two tennis giants playing each other in pickleball is awesome.

Not to be "that guy", but isn't Johnny Mac's serve illegal? BTW, he's easily my favorite tennis player, followed by Pete and then Goran. Loved watching those guys.
