Path of Exile 3.23 Are the New Unique Items Any Good?

That bodyarmor seems like a worse Crest of Desire.
The base Armor is absolute garbage, so all that's left is the gem level scaling.
Crest of Desire gives you 8 levels AND double dmg and Gemquality.

So 0 support gems = new unique gives +2 more level, you lose quality and double dmg
1 support gem = same level benefit, you lose quality and double dmg, you gain 1 support.
...

Can't really think of a scenario where you'd sacrifice support gems and not pick Crest of Desire to do so.

Maybe if you hit a decent double corrupt to scale the levels even higher

Maybe if you use both for some HoT HoI autobomber?
I know there was a HOT build that worked pretty well with Crest, but that one probably also used the cluster jewel that limits you to 1 Herald.

Edit: Perhaps in combination with Uul-Netol's Vow to gain a free support gem for your chestpiece....tho then you'd sacrifice your amu slot aswell.
Will be interesting to see if anyone comes up with a good build using that bodyarmor.

+12 from pragmatism

+6 from two cold-iron points
+5 from level 6 empower

For Trickster's Smile, the problem seems largely solved by Dawnbreaker or Tempered by War + Gravicius mod on chest. I don't see why it wouldn't work; that becomes the type of damage they deal to you. True, it wouldn't work against pure chaos damage dealing enemies, but that's actually quite rare.

Im tempted to do an empty socket build as my meme build this league, it depends on if the +12 gem level is local on that chest or global

I'm planning on using the Amulet to stack a lot of life for my RF build. The glove line is also nice and juicy like the helmet one, so we will see if I can manage to comfortably keep both completely void of sockets! I'll definitely be using Abyss Jewels with 36 life and some attributes however!

At first, I thought of aura or herald for Pragmatism. Turns out aura progression is pretty miniscule. Crest of Desire is far better with +8 level ,50% quality and Double Damage.

Pragmatism base give merely +10 (coz u need to slow 1 skill), only 2 more than CoD.

I supposed u could roll double implicit & level 5 awakened empower. But that takes so much effort for so little value.

Most of the uniques they showed so far are for leveling only.

Virtue Gem = any gem you can socket in an item
so both skill gems and support gems
EDIT: as far as i know Abyssal Gems aren't Virtue Gems, forgot about them

Bitterdream and you have support on your +10 level gem

Trickster's smile can be good fpr fire builds, all you need is dawnbreaker

You can also double corrupt Pragmatism body armour and get up to 4 additional skill gem levels. If someone come up with popular build around it. This unique chest can become great double corrupt target.

For pragmatism my mind immediately goes to Bane + 1-2 curses. Chaos skills love gem levels.

Pragmatism with stone golem, maw of mischief. Maybe stone golem with empower and minion life but i'm not sure of the math. 21 golem, +10 from body, +2 wand, +2 wand, +3 amulet. should be a level 38 golem that you can detonate with the skill of maw of mischief

I mean u could considering corrupting fever for pragmatism cause that gem doesnt really have many good supports anyways lol

I wonder if Gamblesprint has a niche for lab runners... proc some sort of self-hitting skill (Boneshatter, Forbidden Rite) until you hit a high MS number, then blow through the entire encounter.

Forgive my ignorance Tenkiei but i still think hateforge is super fun. I m happy that ultimatum is coming back, but with all the changes to gems i m hoping to make a build with hateforge

i have this doubt if untouched soul will count the weapon swap sockets, because it says ANY equiped item, and technically they are equiped, that could be 9 potential sockets you can left empty for stats

For Pragmatism my mind immediately goes to Raise Spectres. They made the level of the Spectres scale with gem level so between Pragmatism, Replica Dragonflight, a level 21 gem, a +2 Minion Helmet, and 2 +1 wands/shields, you can get up to a level 38 Raise Spectre gem. At level 38 the Spectres are monster level 89. Combined with the new much more powerful Spectres being released in the new league I can see really high level base stats trumping support gems here.

Gamble sprint with something that prevents lower speed could at least be a neutral 😐

Untouched Soul might become BIS for Relic of the Pact builds. With catalists you can get +48 per socket, and the build doesn't use sockets that well. You can get up to 1008 life (not counting the three on the relic), and get a useful chestpiece instead of Kaoms.

I have a feeling the crit multi roll is the bait people will fall for. If the current drop rate of unstable is anything to go by, it is possible rolling crit on the random catalyst will be a 1/100 if not worst. As it is, you get way more than 100 catalysts of any other type for any unstable.

So the odds to hit crit quality should be very low... and then a small chance to get a usable roll. If it goes as expected, we'll have the entirety of 3.23 without one single ring like that hitting 200% quality on the crit.

Again, because I have a feeling your odd to hit attribute quality will be way higher than hitting crit quality. The crit roll is the only thing on the ring that is significant with quality. Rest get boosted to a normal roll that may be worst than a t1 with 20% quality. Just very strange to give it under 30 life, but a roll that is basically close to a normal crit multi roll on a ring. It is the one mod that's good, rest is terrible. All uniques are bad really compared to what we have had in recent leagues.

Wording on the boots seem to say you could use forbidden rite to gamble until huge movement speed from gamblesprint.

Cast FR until you get big ms then use phase run, maybe could be some labrun tech if you don't have a dedicated queen of the forest lab build.

The amulet is terrible as soon as you realize how many sockets you have to leave open to get as many stats a rare amulet

Man...... That ring is sooo good. Specially because you can have 2 of them.
Just need a 6 handed weapon and no other gems and go crazyyyyyyyy

Wouldnt it be easier to have a 6 link with 3 lvl 4 empower supports and then empower 3 active skills than Using pragmatism?

With The Trickster's Sallet, how about using "Take physical damage as fire"?
This would cause any physical hit to do fire dmg, getting rid of their fire resist.

RF lv. 21 +10 is a chunky spell dmg multiplier =)

They put an amulet about sokets and don't make it an unset amulet, what a lost chance

When i saw the Chest i instantly thought about this chest, socket stone golem 21 + minion life as a 2 link. then use maw of mischief. Thats some insane amount of base dmg!

Hmm... Do Skills Granted by an item count as being socketed on it? Could open up interesting ways.

The big question for the ring is how high variance there are on the mods, sure it says 26 life on the image we have seen, but for all we know it could possibly go all the way up to normal t1 life mod on a ring.

It says "skill gems" not "support gems"

From the wording of trickster's smile, I think that it also works with phys taken as mods. So if you craft 8% of phys taken as fire, 8% of phys taken as lighting, it would work.

Or you can throw on Uul-Netol's Vow and give it enhance. Then you keep the +10.
