This is nothing to do with the VA Hospitals this is the Veterans VA disability Compensation. meaning the Money paid to Veterans for injuries incurred while in service.

Veterans whose body parts are blown off get a 90 dollar annual raise...
Congress gives them selves a 90,000 dollar raise this year.
It's high time to vote better.

I too love all that the VA has done for me and I am eternally grateful. I do wish that the C& P folks would actually bother to read what my VA doctors have diagnosed/treating me for before they put me through an 8 year odyssey of trying get another service connected injury accounted for.

We vets are so thankful for our benefits, so when i see articles saying we abuse the system and dont deserve the benefirs we recieve i get mad. Espically when some 20 y/o from an Ivy League school and a privledged background writes the article

No one ever talks about the homeowner's insurance for water and flood claims will result in being dropped by your current insurance and being blacklisted to local high insurance locked in 3-4 years.

Appreciate ya for the update. However, every Veterans increase in Disability should never be less than 5%. Possible more give that in the last four years we had that twice iirc. One for 6.5% and 5% respectively. I believe it should be double that for decorated combat veterans. This is just another slap in the face for an already ungrateful society in the way it treats their Veterans overall. Yes, I know from personal experience much like the rest of you here Im sure.

I hate how entitled these vereran is about "100%" not enough to live by." Im getting my rating next week and there a very high chance i might i get 100% ill be overjoyed. Having 100% doesnt mean you cant work so stop acting entitled and lazy and get a job. For starter just be a walmart greeter or uber or something. If i get 100% and find another easy job ill be making closer to 90k-100k. Plus there are benefit such as exempt from property tax and i dont have to pay for healthcare and if you have family or dependent you make closer to 4600 a month from your disabilities. Yall acting like your spouse cant work and just living of the 100% disability alone while complaining how the single disable veteran is different because they only got themself. While yall got a spouse that can work or take care of you. I hope that these entitled veteran doesnt ruin it for the rest of us and the va say enough is enough and proceed to take away the disability. Yall entitled asf.

SITREP, Veterans And Others. Hate To Sound The Alarm, If Things Go As Planned. All That VA Secretary Denis Donough and The Va Accomplished In The Past 4 Years Will Have Been For Not. If Project 2025 Authored By The Right Wing's Heritage Foundation and Donald Trump Is Implemented. We're In For A Bumpy Ride. Project 2025 is not A secret. All 800+ Pages Are Available For Anyone's/Everyone's Reading Pleasure. Google Search Will Get You There. One Mention Is The VA. Project 2025 Calls For Deep VA Budget Cuts. Calls For Cuts In SS, Medicare, Medicaid, etc., Are slated for Cuts Or Total Elimination. The Right Continues To Refer To Social Security As An Entitlement Not EARNED BENEFITS We Worked For All These Years. Hate To Bring Politics Into The Fray. But. Thanks To All Veterans, Their Family and Friends Who Voted To Give The House/Senate/White House To The Right Wing. Of Course I'm Being Sarcastic. I'm Pinching Myself Hoping It's A Nightmare. But Seeing Inexperienced, Questionable Individuals Nominated For Cabinet/Non-Cabinet Positions. It's Appears A Reality.

Seemes that I get more than I did on active duty. At 100 % the VA covers all your needed medical care. They didn't make the kids yet they still add a little more for them, medical coverage is available if spouse is not working but most do in my experience. Life insurance is available. I learned to live within my needs long before the VA.

Let me save you all a minute
VA has released the new VA Disability ratings table for 2025. Due to a 2.5% Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) increase, Veterans can expect their disability payments to rise starting December 1, 2024. Increases range from $4.28 for those rated at 10% disability to $93.45 for those at 100%. Veterans with dependents may see higher increases. For example, a 50% disabled Veteran with a spouse and child will receive $1,287.04 per month.

Why’s the American government botting their own comment section?! No veteran should be homeless and struggling month to month. There needs to be a jump of a few thousand dollars to truly satisfy REAL vets. We’re grateful but nowhere as grateful as these boys are trying to make us out to be. Actually diabolical to fake such reactions and what a diabolical compensation raise.

Just wondering. Where are you now? Considering all the talk and crazy crap that this new administration is doing, many of us are very concerned. Looking forward true factual reporting on the VA cuts.

It’s really screwed up that these so called leaders are tampering with benefits veterans have earned and in many cases took years to see it come to fruition. However they are all fully covered for life with benefits and pay. How about some cuts to them?
After 30 plus years of service, 2 should repairs, knee repair, both Achilles torn, double hernia, and continuous back issues, I believe I have earned my benefits. Of which also includes many deployments, all over the world.
These legislators just don’t truly get it. Shame on those that support these potential cuts.
