I believe Britain is also saying no to this acquisition of Arm as they have opened an investigation.

In regards to the WordPad / notepad thing with word documents - my tin foil hat says maybe its because they want to push users to pay for word rather than just have it open for free - and would be aimed at normal users as most advanced users - or even moderate users - will know the WordPad trick with MS word documents - I hope that's not the case but MS track record isn't exactly great - and I'm not hating on windows - I use it myself - well ok maybe I am, a bit but come on even us windows users must agree there is a lot to hate still even if we do use it lol

What happened to GlobalFoundries? You only mentioned TSMC and Samsung. Is GlobalFoundries so underperforming in this generation that they aren't even considered anymore?

if they Nvidia win, then Apple will be really pissed seeing they do not like Nvidia. Apple stopped using Nvidia graphics cards because of a disagreement, so could you imagine Nvidia getting their own back on Apple.

You and all other app developers need to just stop releasing ios versions of your apps. Pull it and not release another until Apple gets their shit together and fixes it. If enough big name app devs do this Apple will have no choice because the user outrage over it will be insane and eventually might start making people switch to Android. I am just so sick of being an Android user and having to get shitty apps full of compromises because devs have to appease Apple and they don't want to make 2 completely different versions.

It makes absolutely no sense that Apple mishandled and failed to log in, by mere accident. Because the login creds they were given were for testing and inspecting the specific app and version under review (!). Meaning the app was explicitly NOT on the App store!

That app/version, like any other app/version under review, is sandboxed from the moment they receive it. And it stays that way until final approval. That's the whole frickin fundamental point of this process. There would be no reason to go on the App Store to find it (and select the wrong app), because the whole point of the process is that it is not ON the App Store yet.

Only way I see this being botched by accident, is if they manually and intentionally messed around with the sandboxes for multiple filings. And at that point it's no longer an accident, but intentional mishandling. The final result might not have been as intended, but the process that led to that result sure as heck was.

I also don't think them buying 1 company would give them 100% market share. I also wouldn't call nvidia top dog anymore.

Even the government knows Nvidia sucks. Their ces showing was a joke. It was like oh look at how many games have rtx support now. We are gonna run at least 4 different game adds showing it. It was almost like they were tight all the techtubers were like rtx isn't really usable with anything but a 3080 and up and even then it's a huge performance decrease.
