Who else cringes every time he says “Daddy”?
ОтветитьThanks again
ОтветитьAnd here I am trying to make a lathe out of nothing but power tools and a overburden of OCD
ОтветитьCraig, you should cold blue them so that they match the rest of your lathe fixtures!
ОтветитьIts straight heresy but your workflow could be so much improved by 3d printing. You do you though. the machine porn is intense. I would hate to take away from that.
Ответитьthese are fucking beautiful
ОтветитьI would call that time well spent, regardless of how long it took. they are also very good looking parts. I would keep my eye on anybody visiting the shop if I were you as they might develop legs and get away.
Take care and be sure to have a little fun every day,
jack
He used matrixes to calculate something... never thought i would see the day where it is slightly useful
ОтветитьI absolutely love your channel and the way you bring things to Beauty : )
ОтветитьThe matrix algebra flex is the biggest flex you could have pulled off here:Dd
ОтветитьMatrix algebra? You mean like the movie!!???
ОтветитьBrilliant! I can’t even imagine what it must have taken to learn and develop all this talent!
Ответитьcopper is harder than aluminum 🤓 but there are alloys that could be softer🤔
brass however is harder than aluminum
Very good sir, parts that need replacement are companies favorites.
Ответитьyou as a machinist should know, there's absolutely 0 thing as overkill. the parts are either shit, or good. and good is what everyone else calls overkill.
ОтветитьNext time get 5% or 10% Cobalt endmills. They are more durable and provide happy medium between high speed and carbide when it comes to ductility
ОтветитьWell for some reason I just landed here... and watched some of your videos... and its absolutely amazing!! But I always see you with those earphones in and I'm wondering what music you might be listening? :D
ОтветитьOK, I CAN'T HOLD BACK ANY MORE. WHY CAN'T YOU SAY HOLD IN STEAD OF HODE, AND OTHER WORDS WITH THE LETTER L IN IT. NOW I'M CANADIAN, I DON'T KNOW IF THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE. BUT ENGLISH IS ENGLISH. I'M NOT STATING THIS TO BE MEAN, I KEEP HEARING THIS FROM ALOT OF AMERICAN PEOPLE, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE L IN MOST OF YOUR WORDS. SIGNED JUST CERIUSE.
Ответитьbeautiful!
ОтветитьHow long did you spend on those pockets?
ОтветитьYou say its overkill and that you spend more time on it then you wanted to admit, but just remember you had fun doing it, i got into ring making a few months back i have made a few ring but never sold a single one and i dont plan to either because i just enjoy creating, and thats the importance of hobbies, even if it isnt logical or profitable, its still fun to do.
ОтветитьGauge pins are so useful!
ОтветитьLove your videos…. but PLEASE stop calling yourself daddy.
Ответитьa dislike for making me look at matrix algebra.
ОтветитьI like you use old parts and machines
ОтветитьSee kids, You can do matrix algebra too if you don't spend math class playing Oregon trail on your ti83 calculator.
ОтветитьHave you thought about colaborating with a 3d printing channel and/or a forging chanel to have rough blanks cast to save milling time and cost?
ОтветитьNote to self: don't stretch your rod!🤔
ОтветитьFor 'hogging off' broad material, I prefer to use the horizontal milling cutter (and boy, I have some honking wide milling cutters!) Of course, it helps if you have a mill that can be both a horizontal and vertical machine.
ОтветитьKudos for using good old fashioned drawing board and drafting instruments! Not everyone likes computers and CAD for engineering drawings.
ОтветитьThese were such a good idea, I can't wait to make a set for myself!
ОтветитьOne thing you haven't taken into consideration is that you now also have a pretty cool set of soft jaws.
Should be worth a lot.
Now you need a fancy case to put them in when they're not in use.
ОтветитьAmazing job
Ответить"is no bueno amigo" 😂😂😂
Ответить"And I have the perfect tool for the job."
(Ad) "Oldspice"
The soft metals will deform and get stuck wont they?
Ответить... ingenuity unlimited ... good show, mate! ...
Ответитьplease don`t put your fingers near the end mill when the mill is still running 😮😮
Ответитьuhhhh, very , very nice, im doing some, I do need some, for the 3 jaws, but I am gonna change it a little bit , but same concept, thanks ,
ОтветитьVery nice parts.
Ответитьit is engineering. / artistic.
ОтветитьMatrix algebra🤤
ОтветитьA graphing calc isn't necessary, My 1986 HP 15-C can do that too! Great video. That makes me wish so much that I had access to a manual mill and lathe! It was incredibly satisfying watching you do this quality work.
Ответитьthis feels like a relaxing show that streams at 7am in the morning I fking love it
ОтветитьYou forgot to make enough to share with the entire class 😮
