Sealed woofers need more powder!
ОтветитьNo sound from the bottle!?🤔
ОтветитьBlows on tip of bottle…
“I should call him”
whats best way to seal,,, ported sub... what to put under its feet so house dont crash down from structural vibe
Ответитьvery good explanation.
i like a sealed dual subwoofer architecture where the chassis are opposing each other.
I was a hater for sealed subs until I sealed a 4 inch soundbar subwoofer Lol😂, before seal (poor port design) 72 Hz Fs, After Seal response down to 44 Hz! Soothing bass
ОтветитьWhat if you have a ported design with a bigger box and a powerful amplifier?
ОтветитьGreat video, just one question....more companies are using passive radiators instead of ports. What are the pros & cons of these ?
Ответитьwhy does nobody remind people that when you go below about 100 Hz, the entire room becomes a speaker enclosure and it is more beneficial and cost effective to spend money on acoustically treating the listening room instead of buying a better and more expensive sub? 😢
Ответить? You dont like the sound of a ported sub than shove a dirty sock in the port hole! If you are sealed and want to switch to ported than.....screwed!
Ответитьcan i close the hole in ported sub with passive radiator?
ОтветитьI'd go passive radiator before sealed for in home use. It's the best of both worlds and in my opinion its best for games movies and low listening volumes. In vehicles Port all the way. I had a sealed sub and though it was accurate it didn't hit the way I'd like it to unless I had 2 and I'm more of a 1 sub guy so I want the best output from the one sub and save space. But bottom line if I couldn't do a ported sub id go passive radiator route next and skip sealed because it's basically the same thing in the end anyway just in all way to my better than the sealed in every way. Port has its own advantages over the radiator. I feel the radiator is the sealed box's 2nd form lol but of course the radiator its probable the most expensive route so there is that to take into account.
ОтветитьSubwoofer can only go solo said Han.
ОтветитьThe only sub worth buying is the RCF SUB 9007-AS, not these shit toys 😎
ОтветитьWhat about subs with a passive radiator?? Is that essentially a port with a flex covering?
ОтветитьYes, but what about transmission line subwoofers , complexity aside ?
ОтветитьThat's all fine and dandy. Except for a lot of artist, country and rock included in metal, not just rap, produce lowe's twenty heart frequencies
ОтветитьSome speakers are made fore sealed boxes, some speakers its fore ported boxes, and there its the biggest difrent of whay there its so,
And another thing , its the difrent of active and passive subwoofer boxes its the amplifier not livning so long like the speaker do of a Aktive subwoofer do, thats the passive subwoofer its a better Alternative here
Sealed is better, if you ask me.
I do not like bass on ported speakers. To undefined.
Does that mean we have to choose sealed type for indoors?
ОтветитьSo sealed subs created the deepest bass?
ОтветитьI have developed rumbling in my sub8 that is constantly on even when not playing any audio. Can't seem to find anything about it online. The only way to stop it is to turn it off. Any ideas?
ОтветитьReally usefull information. Thanks
ОтветитьYou need high spl driver + eq with sealed. Then it is no competition. Wins hands down.
ОтветитьI own a Genelec subwoofer with Laminar Spiral Enclosure bass reflex cabinet. It provides excellent laminar flow characteristics with minimal turbulence noise and allows for a long reflex tube into a small space. It sounds amazing, no chuffing, and is perfectly clear no matter how loud.
ОтветитьLARGE SEALED BOX FOR ME...take the size they recommend for ported and build it sealed.
ОтветитьI have never ran a ported sub in my car and oddly enough I have never ran a Sealed sub in my house. I have found bigger spaces are better for ported. My car being a small space and all the speakers being so close to me I can hear distortion much sooner than in the house where I run 7.2 surround and the subs are further away from me. Plus I'm one of those weird people who isn't interested in what the other car at the stop light can hear. I don't need cops or thieves' attention on my car.
ОтветитьInteresting video!! Watching this, my mind went straight to those JBL speakers that use "passive radiators" to emmit their bass, but are essentially still sealed
ОтветитьGreat explanation. I learned a lot with this video. Thank you
ОтветитьIf sealed subs are better then why does literally not one professional audio company make a sealed sub? All pro subs are ported.
ОтветитьWhat is the best setup for a truck? I want hard hitting bass but I also really love boomy sound. I had a JL W7 in my Tahoe and I loved it. I now have a 2022 gmc Sierra AT4X and there isn’t that much room I can fit under the back seats so should I go sealed or ported?
ОтветитьVery informative, thanks.
ОтветитьI like ported more then sealed cuz i like deep bass also i wont make my sub cry
Ответитьgreat video.
ОтветитьCan use a full range signal in RCA imputs?
ОтветитьI hate sound distortion
Ответить808 min video 🤣
ОтветитьI keep going back and forth between SVS PB-1000 Pro and SVS SB-1000 Pro. I think it's a 60/40 split with movies/gaming being 60 and music being 40 of what I use my home theater is for. Which would be best for small/medium sized living room? I also read about port plugs that can help as well. What do you recommend?
ОтветитьWhat is the difference between the 2022 updated Sub 8 and the older version?
ОтветитьWhat about sealed with a passive diaphragm?
ОтветитьI have a polk audio psw 10. At what range should the low pass filter should be kept to get a good balanced performance?
ОтветитьVery nicely explained.
Much appreciated 👍🏻
So, with all these trade-offs, how about someone designing a two driver system, with one sub ported and the other sealed, each isolated from each other, but in the same enclosure. I'm not an audiophile, I'm more of a melomaniac, so maybe this is a stupid idea, but I tend to try to "think outside the box ".
ОтветитьPorted all day. Especially for movies.
ОтветитьNormies: people who crank stereos are uneducated. Physics, thermodynamics, and electrical engineering have all left the chat.
ОтветитьI made my own 15” 600w PA sub with a wave guide that I built in it
The port has a 4inches in height and 16,5 inches in length
It’s hits hard!
What subwoofer would you recommend someone to buy between Kenwood, Pioneer, Mobile Authority and Sony xplod
Ответить
