I had the same scenario 2 days ago. All kits had empty bellies, so I brought the doe in as well. By morning, the survivors all had full bellies from nursing. I transitioned the group to a shed the next night. Then this morning I moved the group back to the doe's cage/nest.
ОтветитьWe just lost our first litter and I tried your techniques. If I found them sooner I’m sure they would’ve survived.
She had a pretty good nest with fur and used that and a blanket vs the box I had for her.
We had a cold snap so I think it was that because the day before she was feeding them and they were crying and jumping around:( hard to tell with it being her first though because some were pushed out of the near and she was just taking care of one. How long after the loss do you breed again? I have other rabbits but I want to give her another chance after her loss.
And also, do you bring them indoors when it’s colder? Or use a heat lamp? Thanks
i love eat rabbits and kill rabbits
ОтветитьI feel like crying
ОтветитьWhat are cataracts or the cataract breeding
ОтветитьWeve has had troubles in the past for like the colder season breeding and my dad he knows what hes doing cuz him and his siblings did the breeding and everyting when they where kids and so he knows what hes doing but sometines we have to look it up if he cant remember what they did
ОтветитьI just burried my baby bunny and now i am scared that the bunny wasn't death. PLEASE HELP?
ОтветитьMy rabbit gave birth this april 26th. We didn't know that she was pregnant because it's been a long time since she mated, we only found out when she gave birth and we are not prepared. She gave birth with 7 premature kits. After giving birth the 4 kits died, the next day 1 died because it got out the nest and this day another one didn't survive, now there's only one left. I'm afraid she'll lose baby again, how do I take care of it?
ОтветитьWould it be a good idea to maybe bring the mother in with the babies? No criticism intended! 🌻
ОтветитьMaybe they would’ve made it if their mother would’ve been with them
ОтветитьThank you for your video it's extremely informative! I have a mama that was due any day and just noticed she had them this morning but ate all of the hay in the box! She pulled a lot of fur and thank goodness I noticed them scattered in the box very cold and two looked dead. I've brought them in and slowly warming them with a heating pad. The two came back to life thank goodness but I'm afraid to put them back outside. Would they be fine to shelve tonight? Or should I make her feed them then bring them back inside? We've gone from 83° yesterday down too cold and rainy at 41 with wind.😢😢😢 What is a good way to hold her and make her nurse?
ОтветитьI was raking my backyard today and came across dome baby bunnies or rabbits ?? But they have fur and scream and everything. Well 1 of em does. There are 4 and there nest was compromised by fire ants. What do you guys recommend I do ?
ОтветитьYour so sweet for saving them I wish I saw this last week when two of mine passed 😢
ОтветитьHi. My doe gave birth to 7 kits last week, and she died the day after, and now we have 5 kits left. Can you give some tips on how to clean the babies? Mine is all covered in pee and i know washing them is a BIG no-no. I tried cleaning with cotton balls but to no avail since they're quite small, they jerk off here and there when the droplet of warm water trickled down their tiny body. Also i have no idea where should i keep them in. I use a tshirt and fleece to keep them warm, as i live in mostly hot and wet place. I also put some tissues in it so that the pee would be absorbed, but the lil ones are still dirty. HELPP.
ОтветитьHow long does the wholeprocess takes? It's amazing watching ur technics
ОтветитьMine just had babies like right now
ОтветитьMy first time mama just had 3 and they were warm and not breathing or moving. I have another female who lost he first 2 in two separate litters. Same dad different mama. I'm scared to try again even though these were all accidental..thinking about having my male fixed thinking he may have genetic issues
Ответитьmy bunny was moveing and i was scared then he died then i was crying then my uncles take it outside i wish i can take it and save it im crying and im sad
ОтветитьYOU DIDNT ROTATE THEM SISTER!
ОтветитьOmg aincant believe this!!!
ОтветитьOH MY GOD LADY YOU ARE SO FRICKING AMAZING! I JUST FOUND 2 BABY RABBITS ONE MY CAT HAD AND HAS A WOUND BUT HES FRIGHTENED. HIS EYES ARE CLOSED. HOW DO I NOT SCARE HIM TO DEATH WHEN I HANDLE HIM???
ОтветитьOne baby got wet in its own urine, still alive but not drinking milk from its mother and it is very dull what to do..?
ОтветитьI did this this morning trying to save my baby buns, but I almost drowned them. Then I used hair dryer to warm them quickly, they finally came back. I thought I’d lost them as they were getting pretty hard and cold.
ОтветитьFound 7 with eyes closed. How do we save them. Online says not to hydrate them. Should we try to feed them? Can’t find a local resource
ОтветитьI just experienced trying to save a newborn. I think I was too late though. I thought it was dead at first but it was more active when I tried to warm it up and feed it. It was surrounded by 4 dead 1s. Something attacked them and dragged them out of nest.
ОтветитьOmg feed them to something. How horrible
ОтветитьMy rabbit just had her babies but she had them on the wire and they were all over the ground. There are still five alive what should I do with them? I don’t know if she’s taking care of them or not I just found them 10 minutes ago She didn’t pull fur. I put them in her nest box with hamster bedding to keep them warm and I’m heating up a sock full of rice. Let me know if I’m doing this right or wrong please.
ОтветитьI wish I would have found this a week ago !! :( I knew 3 were dead due to male being around but one was just out of the nest and cold and I figured it was dead :( I have one runt survivor out of them all but now I feel so guilty :( but now I know for next time! Thank you
ОтветитьStop breeding them they almost always end up in a cage miserable
ОтветитьThank you So Much! I'm just seeing this after I had troubles with my very first litter, but felt a couple of babies get warm later after I thought they were dead and then was double guessing myself-- your explanation affirmed this as they did end up being dead- thank you! and Very good to know on the fingernail check! and did stuff them in my bra for quite a while- good thought on the plastic bag and water :) we also had the trouble of mama just not feeding them, so ended up 'helping her' feed them very quickly after I found them struggling and 2/4 are doing great now at 31 days and she took over feeding them on her own at 12 days :) not the easiest, but just info for anyone else having trouble. Your information was so helpful thank you again!!! NOt something anyone wants to talk about, but constructive and useful!!
Ответитьmy 9 bunny babies wad dead nothing left even mother is dead huhuhuuuuh i cries and sad untill now
ОтветитьWait what you can get them wet??
ОтветитьMy rabbit hasn’t had her babies it’s her first time and she was breed on November 20
ОтветитьAs I'm watching this video I am warming baby bunnies right now in my chicken incubator, my new mama rabbit don't know what to do and she's just popping them out and leaving them with the placenta attached...my mama didn't pull any fur or make a nest..she seems pretty traumatized from the delivery.... I have 8 in the incubator so far 4 found not moving with placenta still attached and 4 she actually cleaned but left them just lying there....I got replacement milk coming today I hope all 8 of them survive🥺
ОтветитьOh dear.

UPADATE APRIL 2022:
Coco has given birth to i think 6 baby’s 4 days ago and the male is in the same cage but we’ve made it so poppy(the male) can’t get to coco or any of her babies! So basically Coco and Poppy can still see eachother just can’t get in the same bit.
Why did those bunnies not make it I was so sad
