there is a nail in the wall that is art
ОтветитьSo I imagine this means if we ever recover those Rembrandts that were mysteriously stolen, they may see a similar boom in popularity?
ОтветитьKinda resembles how rich people inflate the value of a paintings simply so they can use it for tax evasion.
ОтветитьThe bible has trouble keeping up with the details in this one. Well done
ОтветитьMike Shinoda’s soldier with butterfly wings is more valuable than the mona a Lisa.
ОтветитьPeople I know who've been to the Louvre were surprised at how small the Mona Lisa is. It's not nearly as big as you would think it is.
ОтветитьIt's kinda like how we give any precious time to total pos like Trump, Elon Musk or George Santos, without expose they would be just some weird losers.
ОтветитьI didnt think anyone made the claim that it was the best painting, just the most famous.
ОтветитьAdam is obviously wrong. The real reason why the Mona Lisa is famous is that her hands are arousing specific people. Such as some guy who has the ability to blow people up with not a single piece of them remaining
ОтветитьExactly. I always thought it was an ugly, overrated painting lol.
ОтветитьThere's also a good chance that it's a feminized self portrait. Which is pretty weird.
ОтветитьI love this series!
I refuse to watch the bacon video.
I like the Mona Lisa because it was DaVinci's personal favorite and the only one that he kept when he moved. I think that is a larger factor in its popularity, but, you know...who am I?🤣😂🤣
Man. With just a mere 30 more seconds of explanation, we would have known what Adam was babbling about.
ОтветитьAs Nat King Cole would say, “Mona Lisa, Mona Lisa, men have named you.”
ОтветитьI thought it was famous because DaVinci painted not many paintings (Mona Lisa, the lady and the ermine, the last supper, and Saint John the Baptist) and davinci being a renown polymath made his paintings more valuable
ОтветитьWas there a particular reason that it got stolen in the first place?
ОтветитьI never liked it, I think it's meh, but I never say anything because people gets offended and try to sell me on it."It's not about taste, it's about technique" they say... but after studying art... now I say: I've seen prettier and more expressive portraits by social media painters.
Mona Lisa NFTs, anyone?
Adam is definitely an inter dimensional god or being that chooses to be in different forms because us mortals can’t comprehend his true form
ОтветитьI went to the DaVinci museum in Florence and felt like a complete failure in life. No matter what you think of the Mona Lisa, the man was a next level genius. He was Elon Musk of his time.
ОтветитьFunny thing is this painting is more expensive then a paiting of Jesus by da vinci and sold for 450 million.
Ответитьthis is why kids don't care about their toys until someone else is playing with them lol
ОтветитьAdam - Sorry I think you got this wrong - No one can reproduce that painting using the crude methods in those days - Please -
ОтветитьI'll admit, I don't like the painting that much, but those hands look perfect
ОтветитьAdam missed a great story. During the years the Mona Lisa was missing, the Louvre Museum's most popular exhibit was the BLANK WALL WHERE THE MONA LISA WAS SUPPOSED TO BE!
ОтветитьNot good enough for recognition.
But good enough for someone to steal
Lol “mere-exposure effect”
ОтветитьEverything is subjective. If the only reason you like something is because other people like it then your a dumbass. Make up your own mind.
ОтветитьI mean, it might not be the best painting in the world, but it darn sure is more realistic than I can paint
Ответить"Her creepy lack of eyebrows"
Me, with Trichotillomania: 😞
Mona lisa got clout
ОтветитьI thought it was famous because of those sexy hands
ОтветитьThese videos often are just beating strawmen.
I've never seen anybody claim the Mona Lisa is the greatest painting in the world. It's the most famous because it has a story as well as being part of the History of France and France's culture (Italy was the center of european culture before the French Renaissance took inspiration from it and ignited 5 centuries of France becoming a major center for artists in the world).
And also it was not just a painting amon others at the Louvres, the sole fact that it was from Da Vinci and in such a good shape made it among the greatest (even though there are dozens of such masterpieces at the Louvres).
These videos clearly lack nuance and that's a pity. "Debunking myths" should be about showing people that the truth is often more nuance than what they think, not taking an extreme opinion (like "the Mona Lisa" is the best painting in the world") and taking another extreme stance ("the Mona Lisa is only well known because it was stolen").
It is outstanding work though no hating it is worth the hype.
ОтветитьThis is not true. The Mona Lisa WAS famous before, and was considered a renaissance masterpiece. It just wasn't as well known internationally, and wasn't AS famous as after it was stolen (that bit is true). Actually the 1963 tour of the US made it even more famous. Da Vinci was a master, who with the Mona Lisa came up with huge leaps in art.
ОтветитьFinally it's time I know this art is so much valued
ОтветитьSure that guy stole it but it was because he worked to keep it safe so he made a loop hole in the casing that means he could easily Steele it and no one suspected it was him oh and it was famous way before that too maybe not as famous but still really famous.
ОтветитьYou never wanna hear this man say "Here lemme show you" in the same room
ОтветитьThe last supper is easily a way better Da Vinci painting than the Mona Lisa
ОтветитьI never thought the Mona Lisa was very exciting.
ОтветитьI forgot mention Walter payers role in this whole thing
The person who made Mona famous in first place
it got stolen.
ОтветитьMy life was a lie
ОтветитьArtist: draws realistic
Art museum: UGLY
man: draws a line
Art museums: PERFECT ART, BRAVO, BRAVO 👏
I read this as why the Moana Lisa is famous
ОтветитьThis story is not true
ОтветитьSo it just became popular because the media exploited an effortless robbery?
ОтветитьFor those of you wondering, the mere-exposure effect is a psychological phenomenon by which people tend to develop a preference for things merely because they are familiar with them. In social psychology, this effect is sometimes called the familiarity principle.
ОтветитьIt took Leonardo davinci 12 years to paint it
Ответить
