Would you say that the general build order tips (economy + growth early game, etc.) apply to the older historical titles like Atilla and Shogun?
I want to branch out from Warhammer but haven't played any historical titles yet.
Thanks.
This was great. I went into a campaign trying to wing it and it was rough. This helped big time.
ОтветитьThank you this is exactly the guide I was looking for!
ОтветитьMake a separate cheap unit that all it does is surf the water and finds treasure. It gives massive amounts of money for vortex mode. Ports are also a huge amount of income so islands are ideal targets to conquer. Look for unqie buildings like with the White Tower of Hoethe, each region has a unique structure to its own region
ОтветитьI am so bad at this game. I bought it the day it released and ever since I come back occasionally just to get wrecked on the easiest difficulty. This was a very helpful guide.
Ответитьit helped a lot I built miltary buildings in a minor town and at the end I couldnt win I feel so dumb
ОтветитьExcellent guide, thank you!
ОтветитьI am totally and utterly crap at total war - even on easy mode but I do enjoy it, would be nice if I could be remotely effective so thanks for the assist
Ответитьstraight to the point, great video
ОтветитьThanks for the tips man, this is really enlightening, especially the vortex rituals one. I've gotten desperate on my first campaign going after the rituals and got completely overwhelmed lol. Good to know they're not so pivotal once the other AI's start them before you.
ОтветитьOh no if I don't own warhammer 1 I cant play.
Jk I pirated both games
I'm finding things really difficult. Focus on econamy and I get overrun, focus on army and I still get overrun
Ответитьnice
Ответитьnice
er lige gået i gang med TW2 mange tak
pretty sure you mean "minor settlement" and not "city". good video thanks for the tips
ОтветитьAwesome video. Super helpful for beginners - Thanks!
ОтветитьWell I'm going to have to start a new campaign
ОтветитьThis is exactly what i was looking for. Thank you.
ОтветитьWorth noting with vortex rituals- even if lost, re-colonizing an involved settlement before the ritual is done will allow the ritual to be complete anyways. This applies to the AI, too. So if you're going to interrupt, attack them or buy an intervention right before the ritual ends, like 1 turn left. Your intervention will probably raze a single city, and the AI, although they'll beat the intervention, may not be able to get back in time to re-colonize the settlement before their ritual is done.
ОтветитьTip 1: Don't watch anime
Tip 2: Don't be a cringe weeb
Tip 3: Don't watch a weeb trying to explain something like warhammer in any shape or form
Tip 4: Start Total War Warhammer instead
Tip 5: Play it.
Bonus tips: 1 Go to skirmish, pick your favorite faction and fill your slots with your favorite single entity unit (mine are carnosaurs).
2 Choose Dark Elves as the opponents. Fill their slots with witch elves.
3 Choose the map and start the battle.
4 Pretend you are watching a bunch of filthy internet weebs pretending to be cute anime girls being slaughtered by your favorite single entity unit (carnosaurs).
5 Satisfaction.
So when I develop my cities to highest tier for skaven in 4 slot cities, what should I swap growth building for? I always kept them for money
ОтветитьThank you for the video
ОтветитьI just started playing, and I went for Easy/Easy as I have no idea how to play and figured that would be the most enjoyable way to learn. My friend who started recently said he went for Easy/Medium and got destroyed a few times, so it sounds like it can be complex. Also got a critical success on my first hero assassination, didn't know that was the only way to permanently get rid of them.
ОтветитьThis genuinely helped me. I'm finally getting a grasp of everything and I've been having trouble playing Khalida right now. On easy mode until I get a hold of everything then to normal and so on. At multiple points I was confused as to what I should do in my situation (playing Vortex), which clan to wipe early and so on.
ОтветитьGood video bro
ОтветитьBest guide I found so far for a beginner.
ОтветитьLoved the guide. BUT i feel i need a guide that is even more basic than this.
Like, where to press Y buttons to do X. The in-game guide is not that good, because, it gives you advices like "Put you lord in ambush mode", but does not clearly show me what button i need to press to put it into ambush mode.
And Skaven Priest? came to my city. What does that mean? My public order was falling. I did not know how to interact correctly with this priest. I just tried to press everywhere around the skaven priest, and got something like diplomacy, and could offer a peace treaty, which they declined. What do i do then? How do i attack the skaven priest in my capital? I dont know.
Wow never played a total war game before , but does look complicated lol
ОтветитьIf my capital is in tier 3 but my minor cities are in tier 2 can my hero visit his mum if he is in her protected bubble?
ОтветитьBeginner Guide, 4min into it: let me show you what end game looks like
ОтветитьQuestion: is this a create a giant blob army and go around conquering while keepig a second blob at home waiting game?
ОтветитьIs it worth upgrading money houses early? The incremental increase in income compared to the upgrade cost seems almost too small.
Ответитьexcellent beginner's guide, thank your for not spending 30 minutes showing us that tooltips exist!
ОтветитьThanks for the tips but i would like some strategic tips like where and how to expand when to attack and when to retreat and stuff like that but still i appreciate your hard work 👍🏻
ОтветитьThanks for the tips. Its been years since I played a Total War game so this is helpful.
ОтветитьHow do you get so much money? I just got this game and basically my income peaks at around 2k per turn. From then on, it keeps getting less and less and I can't afford my armies. Then an enemy will come and attack a city that I can't afford to defend and it's a downward spiral for me that I can't afford. edit: I should add that I always buy the income buildings in my cities but it still isn't enough and I always run out of money.
ОтветитьThanks, this was exactly what I needed. I just did my first campaign up to around turn 100, and started to realize I did everything suboptimal, but wasn't sure what to do different in my next campaign. This will help me get a better second run for sure :)..
ОтветитьSome comments:
On building cities -
Walls. Walls are super valuable in any city that might be attacked. Not just for their presence in a siege battle but mostly for the fact it makes the enemy take a couple of extra turns to stop and build siege equipment before they can attack you. That gives you extra time to respond to what's happening.
Trade Resources. Trade resources are very good, if you have someone to trade with. Some factions just have no friends and so will never make serious amounts of money from trade. Those factions should put much less weight on trade resources unless they have a compelling secondary function.
Growth buildings. They're good, but the benefit from upgrading them tends not to be cost effective. The upgraded tiers of growth buildings only provide a small increase over the first tier for a greatly increased cost. Build them, leave them at tier 1, demolish them when the city can build everything you need from it.
On managing Lords and armies -
There absolutely are right and wrong ways to level up lords. Most factions should take their blue skills first until lightning strike (exceptions are those that have Stalk stance and factions that use many cheap armies like Vampire Counts). Legendary Lords that rely on magic should focus on that first until Arcane Conduit. After that focus on red skills for the units you plan to use the most of. Even lords that are going to be combat frontliners should take those skills last, they start off good enough.
You don't need to park lords in cities. If you've got walls, you've got time to recruit a lord next door and quickly recruit an army of regiments of renown to march in and lift the siege. Save your Regiments of Renown for doing that. Every lord you maintain increases the upkeep of all your armies (except for Bretonnia), so having them just sitting around costs money you could be using to build things or maintain armies that are doing something useful.
Ambush Stance. The AI knows everything. It can see the whole map all the time. That means it knows where all your armies are and will use and abuse that information to avoid superior armies, snipe weaker ones, and gang up when it needs to. But it can't see armies in ambush stance. That means it will do foolish things in their presence. Things like siege cities, start raiding, or just walk through them to get at a weaker one.
One thing that I wanted to mention is the corruption level of the provinces and controlling it with certain buildings
Also you sound like a serious version of Ssethtzeentach
Cool idea!
