Never launch your Golf R in D

Hello guys, launch is not even possible in D. The entine torque will be reduced after a certain bouncing time due to missuse. This timer has even been reduced in the latest modells due to too many people destroying their clutch thinking they are doing a launch while in reality they are just driving against the brakes. Launch is only possible in S or M while ESP / ASR is turned off and the gearbox temperature is high enough (next to some other minor conditions)

First generation RS6 C5's had extra cooling running when S was selected. The D had only 2 out of 3 coolant lines running. You gotta be stupid to launch in D.

Have driven a Golf R made several years before this one that still has manual transmission. Let's just say it was way more practical. Automatics don't always work in everything

Best way to launch a golf r is to sell it and buy a 6 cylinder engine

scrap this car. 1st gear clutch in full throttle clutch out and there you have the real launch control

Automatic drivers are crazy. I would never ride on D all day 😉
