can anyone suggest some wordlists specific to WPA and default router manufacturer passwords, id assume passwords are almost always 8-16 characters, never contain special characters, and some other people may be able to specify things for specific routers, like if you know bell uses X router manufacturer and that manufacturer always sets their default password to lowercase+numbers exactly 12 characters long thats something you could bruteforce but start compiling these into wordlists and hopefully end up with something a competant gpu can check against a hash in under a day

my meager laptop cpu alone can run the rockyou wordlist in under 15 minutes without me reducing it any, i havent tried to get the dedicated gpu to work in linux yet but i suspect thatd speed things up 10x.. in summary we need bigger wordlists that are more less trimmed down bruteforcing, or specific brute force commands that target default router passwords, alot of people leave their password to the factory default like the vast majority of homes i visit, im actually surprised when its been changed to anything else and its never changed for security always for convenience of remembering/relaying to guests

Could it be that you don’t have the word list folder in yout kali system, can’t find it nowhere

Please help... There is no wordlists folder in share...by default they don't allow aad Or delete folder Hence even system with apt install worldlists show e : unable to locate package...
Do i need download unbuntu from new to older version?? Or else?

If you didn't added the new password to rockyou file then how is this possible I downloaded that file but I had passwords of 14344394

Ive tried shortening this list by using John the Ripper and adding a rule and adding a rule to its .conf file but it didnt work. I tried adding the following rule...
[List.Rules:StrongPass]
/?l ?/u /?d /?p >7
/?l /?u /?d /?p >7

Then I run this rule against rockyou.txt by using the following command.

John --wordlist=rockyou.txt --rules=StrongPass --stdout

Then it says that the rule StrongPass doesnt exist..Im feeling blind atm, can antone see what im doing wrong there?

But sir pwds can widely vary according to countries. So many people may be using pwds as words used in their home country. Now how can we possibly make a word list for that and crack it?
