1. Reply to statements made by the other person sharing how you feel
2. Use simple segues to steer conversation towards topics you have a deeper interest in
3. Add moments of fun and check that the other person continues to opt in. Don’t forget to smile 😃

My go to small talk sayings are:
"What are you going to do next week" (after that keep asking continueation questions)
And tell them what you have done today and hope they ask questions about it, works like a charm!

Q. How to skip small talk if you're usually quiet

A. Just show complete disinterest, check your watch to see how much time has been wasted and how much time you actually have remaining to socialise and then simply move over to someone who has more depth to their character.

Why is the assumption or the default always immediately assuming it's you with the issue and there's a need to always compensate for someone else engaging with YOU the right way????

Usually when someone tries to make small talk, by nature, I become more of an extrovert. I am an introvert I just dont kno what happens.

See whenever i feel like i have something interesting to say i get interrupted and that has caused me to just not talk at all

Try to communicate with people even if you don't like it, later you will feel like "ohh, it's quite okay now, I can talk to anyone now"

Compliment them, atleast that's how they will start talking about themselves while you take your time to get to normal.

So this is why I wasn’t able to make new friends during that meet and greet I just attended. I only kept answering with “Yep” “Mhm” and “Nope”.

TL;DR: If you want to skip small talk, start telling a story about a topic you're interested in. Everything else in the video is just examples and a bit of off-topic about masters of storytelling.
To use the advice you'd need to have a story ready to begin with, which is already too much to ask of someone who struggles with talking. If finding something to talk about was easy, skipping small talk would be a non-issue.

Exaggerating the truth will def make things go faster.
