🙏 Thank you for this! None of the advice shown at HP or elsewhere online applied, as my printer was showing a wifi connection to the same network as my laptop, but still showing as offline as there was no communication between them. Now fixed thanks to this solution.

ОтветитьThis worked for me, but like many others I wasn't seeing the port name with IP address.
To fix that, click Add Port and choose Standard TCP/IP Port. It'll ask for the IP address of your printer- I was able to find that in my printer's Wifi info menu.
As soon as I added that and turned off the SNMP Status Enabled box as recommended, my print job went through immediately! Thanks so much for the help.
I have Windows 11 but none of the windows you describe and show look like on my computer. My Brother printer port shows WSD and then an endless line of numbers and letters, nothing even close to my IP.

ОтветитьTHANKS - they seem to have switched from a "use printer offline" checkbox (that 99% of troubleshooting articles and vids show) to "SNMP Status Enabled" shown in this video - so obvious!! :) My printer works now, I appreciate your help!

ОтветитьMan, this was awesome. Was about to lose a USPS label to this offline printer issue, left it in the queue, found this video, and as soon as I hit apply (no restart required) the computer found the printer. Thank you!!

ОтветитьAlternatively, you can also try opening the print queue. Under Printer, make sure "use printer offline" is NOT checked. Then stop and restart your print spooler service.

ОтветитьThis did help, however I wondered why I can't just click, and open, and select, and close? I have to "go ahead and click", and then "go ahead and open", and then "go ahead and close"... I am not "going" anywhere!!
