Stratocaster seems richer in regards to the audible frequencies.
Were you using the same kind of strings on both of them?

Both guitars sound good but I do like the jaguar it has a great tone to it plus you have a lot of tonal options with the separate rhythm and lead circuits nice playing by the way

Neck and bridge pickup engaged is my favorite combo vs the standard Strat wiring.

This is great! I love how you play the exact same thing on both guitars. Most people would make a "comparison" video and play like a billion different things on different guitars.

it's almost like comparing a cheap $250 knockoff strat with a real jaguar doesn't make for a good comparison. Who would've thought?

With all those switch options on the Jaguar it would take some time to do a thorough comparison for yourself. I like bridge/middle position on the Strat, I would miss that on the Jag, so it would have to be both guitars, not one or the other!

Fender Jaguar forever. That guitar may have many issues (bridge, buzzes, sucky tremolo…) but I just can't stop loving it. It might have the coolest weirdest look ever, and the tone is so freaking unique.

For me I would go with the Strat. The sounds is lighter than the Jag and more well rounded overall. I think the Jag is good if you are looking to experiment with more alternative sounds as it offers a more diverse option of sound effects.

Jag is also coated in nitro like Gibsons. Strat is urethane.

I have all of them both and I’d rather have a Strat.

good thing you have both in the same color, for the most accurate comparison lol. I'm a jazzmaster guy and I'm not sure if I would get along with that brightness of jaguars, but I definitely think it sounds more interesting than the strat. to me strats both look and sound kind of generic and boring. but hey, jimi hendrix played them, so maybe I got it wrong
