Metro Exodus - RTX On and RTX Off (4K Indoor Example)

Honestly, It looks far better with it off. RTX may add atmosphere, but it also detracts from the level of detail that went into the environmental designs. Also, it looks like all shadows are turned off for the second part.

RTX OFF looks pathetic.
That fake indirectly lighting and that horrible GLOW.

Hey buddy I'd love to see other prime examples of the tech like this. Other channels just genuinely do not seem to understand what the rtx is doing and will show footage of wide open areas. People in the comments seem to understand even less (like cybrosis below me)

Was this on RTX high or ultra?

Looks better in Off mode, RTX lacks enough ray bounces to correctly simulate brightness here.

Ofc it looks more natural with rtx, BUT... It all could be achieved without this technollogy.. Artist would have to add all this shadows manually, but I guess they were too lazy and not paid enough.

So rtx on is just standart darker shadows but rtx off is just lowering shadows as possible and making everything brighter nothing new as always

This is such propaganda.... It looks like they turned shadows off completely in the RTX off demonstration. Metro Last Light looks better than the RTX off demo in this video and it's much older.. This is 100% bullshit.
