I managed to get my 13900k to konstant 70° in Gaming. And this with the almighty Noctua NH-D15. I use the mainboard mounting solution though.

That's why I use a shitload of paste.
The screws are loose to help the stock CPU holders work better. The design did not keep up with the processors and the failure rate is higher with cheaper fans.
Where can I get one of those tiny spatulas?

I do think you should retry this installing in a pattern X and torqueing each 90 degree at a time i feel this test showed ur mounting method caused it to not preform and mount aswell as it can!! gamers nexus video on why this would cause issues explains more

I have 14700KF CPU and it doesn't bend. I checked. It fits really well in a socket, no big pressure. Actually I bought bracket but I didn't need to use it. And my temperatures are pretty low, no need to get lower, since I don't boost over 5,7/4,5GHz

so to install it you need a way to get behind the mobo without it falling out? so you need like a test bench?

Hey, I have a keyboard that's quite similar to yours, the Rapoo 9500M, though yours might be the 9900M variant. I've noticed that it tends to miss some keystrokes when I don't press directly in the middle of a key. This issue seems to occur more often on the larger keys like "Space," "Enter," "Shift," and "Backspace. Have you run into the same issue? Looking forward to your reply.

I did install one yesterday, when I installed my 13700KF, and it not only makes your CPU about 3 degrees cooler, in conjunction with a Peerless 120 the temps can only hit thermal throttling after 3 minutes of torture. My temperatures have come down to 28–30 degrees, depending on the measure point. Before, they were 32-36 on average. For those skeptical, think about the investment in your gear. My wattage was around 248 before it started throttling.

Did you just use toilet paper to clean the CPU? For real? It needs to be a lint free cloth.

The Thermalright isn't made to the same tolerances as the Thermal Grizzly contact frame, in practice it doesn't really matter as long as you're paying attention when screwing the frame down. What you're really paying for is German wages versus wherever the Thermalright frame is made wages, does it matter if its 60 microns thicker than the next one if you're only fitting one? I get great results with the Thermalright frame and 13600kf @ 5.5.5GHz. Probably more important for tasks other than gaming (on 13600k/kf) but I'd say every owner of the 13900k should be using one. (Either brand)

It's designed to stop the CPU bending , it won't make it run cooler and definitely won't make it faster ..

Ответить
@maxrockbin
@maxrockbin - 20.08.2023 21:05

The whole point of the stress test is to see how fast the CPU can get before it throttles. So the temps - no matter what the cooling effect - are going to be similar. CPU will throttle at certain temps. Looking at the temps is just looking at when the CPU throttles (and that will be very similar regardless of cooling effectiveness.) So - for this test - the only relevant measure is if performance when throttling is reached. You MIGHT also look at the variance in the core temps to see if this evened them out. But otherwise temps are telling you squat. The only exceptions will be if your cooling is overkill and the CPU doesn't throttle (or if you can't even cool enough to keep it from crashing).

I am presently using the Thermalright - I saw an 8degree Celsius reduction on my 13700k
Thermalright - Mass Production item, flatness changes from bracket to bracket. IE one side could be .5 or 1 and 2 mm then a third side.
Thermal Grizzley - custom built, consistent tolerance across all brackets. More consistence fitting and temperatures.

The only problem with the "10$ accessory" is that it's a copy of Thermal Grizzly's 40$ "accessory" but it's easy to pull the price down when you don't do any research and just copy someone else work. Just saying.

excuse me. if you say the bending normally is non-eye visible, could the thickness of the thermal paste you smeared on cpu had "covered" the difference ? and acted like a leveled surface ? and so invalidate the results that have to be imputed to something else ?
