Has CINEMATIC MODE improved? | iPhone 14 vs iPhone 13

You can lock white balance on during video recording on iPhone - To turn on Lock White Balance, go to Settings > Camera > Record Video, then turn on Lock White Balance - I have it set as standard.

You title showing 13 vs 14 whereas this one is actually a 13 pro vs 14 pro. Change the description to 13 pro vs 14 pro because 13 and 14 totally different model. :/

can record 1080p 30fps or 60fps on cinematic mode in iphone 13/14

I think the 14 looks a little warmer and a bit more modern looking image, you can see the red bumping up when the focus changes in some scenes

hi, why Iphone 14pro cinematic mode in 24fps so choppy/jittery/laggy? even very slow pan are not smooth at all you can see this just being in the mode, not even recording. thanx

I shoot pal so im happy they added 4k/25 but in the normal video mode when i need to do some typical slomo (4k/50 and slow it down 50% to 25)- it’s not possible. Same with slomo mode - only 120 and 240 fps. It’s a shame :/

24 fps is not a big deal when it comes to iPhone 13
You can still achieve 24 per second on the iPhone 13 using videoediting programs

Finally needed to edit cinematic mode footage in FCP and quickly found out the cinematic mode features aren't supported. Do you know of a workaround to get the files working in FCP? It also causes an issue with LR so I can do my regular organizing of files because those files won't import.

I think iPhone need to use periscope system like Samsung which affects in better edge and blurrness of background

I had to cancel my 14 PRO upgrade from the 13 PRO.... I really want that 24fps option, even at 1080p, but that's not enough to upgrade. On top of that, the 14 Pro has less minimal focal distance, wider FOV and a lot of general downgrades IMO. I think I can live without 24pfs cinematic mode. I find it funny how they couldn't implement the 24fps option for the 13...pure greed.

I no longer excited about iphone filmmaking I feel that there is much better quality cameras out there with better sensors etc at good sub 1000 price like Canon M50, Sony ZV so on some cheap as 500 it's time to make the transition into more entry pro camera hopefully one day be able to use Red Camera Lower end one of course I just feel iphone getting better compared to what I understand that's its like comparing apple and oranges the iPhone not going fool me no longer the other cameras have more manual options, pro lenses, etc just really no conversation thank you Im moving on

I wanted to ask, if you’re using cinematic mode in 24 does it matter that you’re not using an nd filter or do you have an nd filter, I’m still using 30 fps and I can’t really tell the difference 😮😢

I saw the Color’s in person today, purple was nice, didn’t blow me away but it was fun, gold was gold, silver was nostalgic to me as I had a 6 plus in silver, but the space black actually was better than I thought it was 😅 to me I think that I like them all 😂❤ how do you choose the color ?😊

Cinematic mode in iOS16 has improved desperation from iOS15, but I don’t see any noticeable difference between iPhone 13 Pro and 14 Pro specifically. I definitely will use the 24fps a lot though—and the resolution helps—so there’s the improvement.

I haven’t been using Cinematic mode on my 13 because it was in 1080p. Do you think the 4K cinematic mode is worth the upgrade now?

If the iPhone 14 can shoot cinematic mode at 4K why can't the iPhone 13 Pro since they have the same processor?

I had to do a quick thingy for a software release today amd I used cinematic mode out of laziness. All went well but the white balance wanders and I have become OCD about shutter control. In bright light, the motions blur seems to be more jerky.

Hopefully one of the app developers can make the tech more professional.

That said, isn’t amazing we’re talking about things like this ABOUT A SMARTPHONE?

Question tho, how come we can't shoot in 24p on the 13 Pro? I get the 4k limitations on the newer, but a frame rate? That's only to do with software so.. Can someone explain? :)

Wow, they don’t look much different in terms of bokeh cutout. Probably will take a few more years until it’s really solid.
