Best video I've seen you make! Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Ответить1996 Nissan 240sx, when i got my car the previous owner deleted the evap system is there a way to stop the check engine light even after that without re-installing the system
ОтветитьI live in a state that does not require emissions. Please tell me how to delete the EVAP system on a 2012 Yukon Denali
Ответитьgreat job explaining the evap codes! you would’ve made a great auto mechanics class teacher at my old highschool 35yrs ago 😂🧰✌🏼
ОтветитьMy car has started just shutting off right after i turn it on, unless i give it gas right away...its an 01 Mitsubishi Diamante, computer hook up says large leak n the evap system, every now and then theres metal thunk noise coming from back around the gas tank, can happen when driving, when sitting still or even after car has been turned off... google says this likely means a stuck valve... any thoughts? The mechanic I've been talking to hasn't been very helpful
ОтветитьYou were very informative can you be my mechanic? 😊
ОтветитьGood video, and thanks for the link!
ОтветитьWhat the newer models that don't have a fuel cap...
ОтветитьI had a p0442 code. I replaced the egr valve and I cleared the code. No code yet but evap light is red. No check engine light yet. Any suggestions?
ОтветитьI’ve had an evap code on dash almost one year. Told I needed a new vapor canister. This week I had a leak fixed . Was blowing black smoke. Turns out a piece had a huge gash in it and coolant was leaking. Had an oil change also . Picked up the car and the evap code is gone ! Not sure what happened? Mechanic thought I blew a gasket, but the plastic part had a huge gash in it . Not sure what happened. Just wanted to know why my evap code is gone from dash? I haven’t replaced it
ОтветитьAmazing how simple he explained
ОтветитьI hate spiders.
ОтветитьSo great explanation
ОтветитьHey, I have a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan rt, and it has a fueling problem, every time I go to the gas station and start fueling, it stop at $10 and then stops every $0.10 to $0.50 cents. I think it has something to do with the charcoal canister. But no one was able to understand. I’m in Springfield IL. Where can I go to fix this and what is the problem. Also do you have any suggestions on what to purchase for a fuel efficient car, and under 110k miles and under $14k.
ОтветитьDid I miss the part where you show us how to "rapidly find the problem "?
ОтветитьOne of the most. Mist. Problem in a. Evap problem with check engine on is a clogged sponge filter in a. Evap charco box under your car. As long with a. Valve that opens and closes In front of the. Sponge filter Just in the last few weeks have fixed 6 vehicles. With this problem Most of theas cars where. Chev. Small. Cars
ОтветитьGreat quick video. I would be also so grateful if you showed how to test each of those components, such as canister, selinoid etc., to detect the fault
ОтветитьWhat about a solenoid or sensor under the car near the gas tank? Have you heard of this?
ОтветитьBest thing to do when the Evap is screwed. Just take it all out. Don't need that crap
ОтветитьThanks for the video! I will use this to help diagnose my 2001 cherokee xj's evap leak! And cheat a little bit with my brother's smoke machine.
ОтветитьI changed the canister, solenoid valve and purge valve. Charcoal got all the way to the purge valve
Ответитьmy car doesn't fill up gas to the max anymore. something is wrong.
ОтветитьWhat is the cheapest bidirectional scanner for testing the 2 valve sealing?
ОтветитьAwesome video thanks for sharing. Do the newer cars have plastic gas tanks?
ОтветитьI had that problem in my Civic and all mechanics that I went didn't want to do that job. There was finally one mechanic that agreed to do it but told me he dont have a tool to put vapor inside the evap so he warned me that since he dont have that tool, he just gonna guess based in stats and how the part looks. Well, he replaced the vent valve under the car and bingo! Problem solve. (I already replaced the gas cap and it was not that, I told that to the mechanic).
ОтветитьITs REALLY tough to diagnose an evap system without a bidirectional scan tool and a smoke machine. I suppose you can throw parts at it and cross your fingers.
I get to drop the gas tank on my car this week. Small evap leak code set. Vent valve could be audibly heard clicking when turning it off on with the scan tool. I did a purge and seal test, with the system sealed it degraded very quickly when watching the pressure sensor in the tank. Smoked the system and smoke was rolling off the top of the gas tank. Something is broken up there, hence the gas tank removal.
Want to preserve the evap system? Don't overfill your gas tank, when it clicks it's full. Do not round up to the next dollar.
ОтветитьTip to avoid EVAP Issues - STOP overfilling your gas tank! Once the "click" happens while filling... STOP.
ОтветитьGood work , well-done .
