Their job is to work for you. Town halls should not be optional, hold elected officials accountable. US Rep makes $174,000 a year salary plus federal healthcare and a 401k with 5% match - after 5 years of service US Rep gets a pension. Taxpayer dollars pay for this. If your Senators and Reps aren’t listening vote them out, it’s their job to listen to you and represent your concerns. The true employer of these elected officials are ALL of the constituents in their district regardless if you voted for them or not. By the people, for the people!
