Funny I work at a blue beacon and we get to see those custom peterbilts all the time and the drivers are always the owners of company’s/private for hire truckers which is such a cool thought and they are awesome some of the most beautiful and unique trucks and I love washing them

The fast and furious has a 359 clone which is a 379 customized with 359 parts. The 379 has air cleaner pipes that go from air cleaner straight through the cowl not with the exposed elbow on the front of the air cleaner, the steps on 359 are way smaller than a 379, the wipers on a 359 rest where the windshields come together where as a 379 rest at the cowl, and the 359 hood has an overlap where the side panels mount to the top panels instead of a smooth hood and side panels being flush as a 379. The side door on the sleeper is usually on the driver side on the 379 and the door is towards the back unless it’s the double bunk sleeper then it’s got the same sleeper door as a 359, the sleeper door on a 359 is set towards the front of the sleeper and access is from passenger side for the 359.

The Fast & Furious one is a 359 with a 379 headlight. Swapping out things from different trucks is a culture in trucking world. You can see a 389 looking like a 379, and a 379 looking like a 389. 389 and 379 are pretty identical, but you can tell then apart by the cut in the hood, behind the front wheel, you can see that 389 has a curve whilst 379 is straight. Also, the grille of 379 is much more boxy compared to a rounder grille on the 389.

But we came here for how it's a 359 or a 379, so yeah, it's a 359. As I said, 379 and 389 are identical, and 359 is a little far from its succeeding brothers. That is because it is the only one where the breather hose is not from inside the hood, Peterbilt have to make a cutout for the hose, so it's exposed, and one easy way to tell them apart. Another thing, there are signal lights on the front fender of a 359 in that F&F movie. Some truckers just want their truck to look like what they want to. Some like a 389 healight on their 379, and others want older headlughts on their 389, but they're really easy to tell apart
