o feel so lucky to get a 3060 ti fe from scan for £370 not the card i wanted but turned out a blessing in the end

I have a 1080 ti gaming x trio and want to upgrade to 3080 ti gaming x trio.
And I'm really struggling to press that buy button because this thing sits at 2200€ right now.

AIBs have really started taking the piss with prices, they've become just as bad as scalpers in the last few months. The 3090 FE is £1399 at MSRP and I was lucky to order the Strix 3090 OC seconds after launching and that took around 7 weeks to arrive by mid Dec but thankfully I only paid the MSRP on that which was £1749, so a £350 premium which is still pricey but nowhere near the insane prices out there now.

Prices are high because people are using them to make free money. That's what's changed. It never used to be like that. Crypto is killing PC gaming. When the crypto boom is over (or has moved to proof of stake), companies like this will be left reeling because PC gamers will either have gone to console or will be scooping up used cards for peanuts.

Wasnt it just recently MSI got caught scalpimg their own cards through their subsidiary?

when my 2080ti runs out and prices have not gone back to normal,i step over to ps5,rather an overpriced console than 2500€ for a 3080ti.

If we admit to these prices,nothing will ever change and price will always stay like this,so we all have tp put our hands together and not buy any card from now on.

Well i just bought a 3080 Ti Surpim X for around 2200 Euros and i dont regret it. I mean finally after 1 Year of endless waiting i dont really care anymore. xD In the Time i waited i saved the same amount of Money x2 x3 times so why not?

I ended up buying the Suprim X last week after not beeing able to get ANY CARD (not even a chance at insane retail prices) for the past 8 months so i was just fking hella tired of waiting specially because an entire list of NEW parts was sitting next to me just without a damn gpu. Yes i paid 2,2k€ which is a hell of a lot of money and boosted my total system cost from 2,2 to 3,3k but honestly.... better than waiting another year or even more until this shitfest finally ends.... (+ the performance of the card outweighs even the cheap 3090 models of some custom cards so i guess it is not as bad as OC3D said in this vid)

Hey so I was wanting your advice please I just subbed btw :)
I am about to pull the trigger on my build but I cant decide what GPU to go with,
I play mainly fps like warzone and battlefield and am going the a AMD 5800x CPU
And either want a 3080 GPU or 6800 XT, reviews both come out fairly similar but should I go with the AMD since I got the AMD cpu?
I will be playing 1440p 144hz for reference.

I was thinking, well can't afford the 3000 series now but maybe 4000 series will come with better economic envirnonment. Is depressing to see such hugh jumps in prices for flagship models. Maybe this is something MSI and ASUS is projecting for 4000 series prices. Basically, MSRP prices will take jumps.

i have this rtsx 3080ti. and it's thermal exhaust is not going through fans, actually it's blowing out through side heat sinks. so the thermal wind is hitting straight away to side panel . is it same for others!

I just paid £1130 for a GTX 3080 suprim X ..from Scan and it feels like a bargain ...strange days ...but it will cost me 39 quid a month

How am I supposed to read these graphs?

Here in Australia they’re all around the same price give or take 400 depending on deals. And the 3080s and 3080ti’s are pretty much the same price.

You really got to stop talking about prices. Makes it impossible to watch. All I hear is pounds this pounds that. Half the video was talking about pricing that will always fluctuate in this current crisis. So it'll be irrelevant whenever ppl watch. Just talk about the gpus and their performance against one another, temps, acoustic, performance, specs, and cosmetic.

There is a very easy explanation on why the prices will never drop, it's because it's easy come easy go - many folks made tens of thousands, if not millions on mining while doing nothing and they couldn't care less when buying cards, they will earn the money back in a week or less without even doing anything.

I think so far I'm happy that I got the founders edition RTX 3080 ti. It has RGB and it is so far my favorite looking one.

I am happy that i watch this. LC version in Japan was listed at 268k yen, nearly 2300 usd. I think my best option is the tuff 3080 at 166k yen.

Sold my 3080 gaming x trio non LHR for 1600 euro and bought the suprim x 3080 Ti for 1580 euro. 20 euro profit and a better gpu

Big disagree. I own both (Asus in non-liquid), and they're both extremely powerful, the Asus a bit faster. They're also beautiful cards. The new 4080 are going to have the same amount of cuda cores so you'll be more than good for at least 2 more years.
