It’s debatable if this is the most scenic in Scotland.
You’ll need to do
Perth to Inverness
Inverness to Thurso
And
Inverness to Kyle
And then judge.
Each line scores 9+/10 just a case of deciding your favourite.
Oh yes, three years later, Ben Nevis. Hard to find in the US. Typical Scotch whiskey here available from Costco is Glen Livet. About $27 a bottle. Recommend you look at traveling the Irish countryside to find the Irish monks tower in the town of Glendalough. Glendalough Irish whiskey, also quite tasty and much preferred to those Scottish guys in skirts🤣😎
ОтветитьAs soon as Robert started talking I was like, "Yes! South Africans know what's up!" We love making friends whilst travelling 😉 Loved this video - starting to plan a train trip through Scotland next year so this was a GREAT start!
ОтветитьIm planning a smilier trip this coming May (2024) at what month was trip taken?
Was it easy to get to attractions outside the towns since you didn’t rent a car? Are the taxis expensive there os it it like in Vancouver?
I miss Glasgow.
ОтветитьJust found your channel and I'm catching up on your back catalogue! When you were in Fort William you missed 'The Jacobite' which is the steam train featured on the Harry Potter series and passes over Glennfinnan viaduct to Mallaig! Next time maybe?!
ОтветитьHaving some Scottish ancestors, I was very interested to take a short visit to the Highlands a few years back. Next trip will definitely be by train - much less 'hazardous' than figuring out (with a time-zoned out brain) which way to look coming into a traffic circle! d'oh ... And why, when I want to shift gears is the window going down instead? ha ha.
ОтветитьBoth. I love city and county equally.
ОтветитьIm with you - I prefer the good scottish country scenery rather than citys. Well I live in one - Dundee. So its good to get a change of scenery. 👍
ОтветитьI am looking at traveling this route for my 51st birthday in August myself and my wife love The West Coast High Lands Of Scotland. Thanks for the video, God Bless.🙏👍
ОтветитьI’m not a city person either but I’m looking forward to seeing Edinburgh and Glasgow for the history but even more excited to the beautiful Scotland nature and medieval villages and more history. Will be there in September!
ОтветитьI love nature, and the city. But, I can only go where it's wheelchair accessible.
ОтветитьHow long was the train trip?
Ответитьgreat high energy video. subbed.

ОтветитьOUT OF CITY 😊
ОтветитьLove all your videos! The sense of adventure is just incredible. I love how you hit so many different countries for this epic train journeys! What is the piece of acoustic music called that plays over the train journey on this? It's a lovely instrumental piece.
ОтветитьHi Mike I just watched this video lots of memories around Glasgow area thanks again from Vancouver
ОтветитьI want to know how it smells at these high altitude locations, Just not the bathrooms please:)
Ответитьชอบมากเลยครับชาติน่ามีจริงขอกลับมาเกิดที่ศกลอตแลนด์
ОтветитьWasn't expecting a look at one of my favourite distilleries too, nice treat :D
ОтветитьDefinitely away from the city-give me nature!
ОтветитьI went to the scottish highlands a lot growing up and I honestly really appreciate it. It's possibly the most magical place in the united kingdom and I wish more people knew about it because it is so great.
Ответитьthat Ben Nevis thing looks like an actual mountain... which colony they took it from?
ОтветитьQuiet possible you have ancestors there.
ОтветитьHaving grown up in Scotland, I love these videos. Growing up there, I didn't appreciate how pretty is was - I can completely see it now that I look at your video!
ОтветитьWhat a super experience, Downie. Thanks for sharing it. Scotland looks beautiful.
ОтветитьI'm absolutely not a city person- give me the mountains and streams and wild coastlines... unless it's Edinburgh. The ONLY city on the planet that I truly love!
Ответить33 Dude you be aging well even in October 2022 videos !
ОтветитьVery nice you visit my friend
Ответитьthanks Mike
Ответить❤
ОтветитьThank you so much for your lovely video. I am 69 now but I recall that when I was a young un a woman told me that the farther north one goes the friendlier the people are. After more than half a century in London (!) I have to agree with her :)
ОтветитьTook the other part of the train to oban! Great experience as well, it was not snowing though
ОтветитьVery nice! Looking forward to visiting the land of my forefathers. God’s speed! - PER MARE PAR TERRAS
ОтветитьNice train ride with beautiful Scottish scenery. Great choice of music as overlay. I'm a city and country girl, so I would enjoy all of it, to some extent.
ОтветитьYou are obviously visiting our beautiful country at a very cold time of year.
Glad to see that you have come well equipped with the right kind of clothing and you obviously haven't let the weather get you down.
Anything but the city’s!!
