Have you played Phantom Doctrine? What did you think of it?
Ответить2bucks on eShop for switch
ОтветитьThx man, I will buy it
ОтветитьBrother when you're doing a review, you don't need to methodically explain the minutiae of base management, just say whether or not the base management is fun and engaging. Nobody cares which option you select to upgrade your weapons... we want to know if it's fun or tedious.
ОтветитьOK.
I feel people online give reviews of games they haven't player.
Either reviews by pals, or they give a review and only played it for like 30 mins.
For me, I feel more stupid that I've only recently played this game and can't actually stop playing it.
If you like tactical games, where you think about your every move that plays (along the lines of Xcom), even though the actual game is nothing like Xcom, just the play style.... then this is for you.
It is a perfect mix of easy to play, hard to master, cosy up on your gaming chair or sofa, close the curtains, and get lost in the world and game play.
I'm playing on the Series X and S depending on if I'm allowed in the living room or booted to my games room lol, but seriously, GIVE THIS A GO.
Just got this on the Nintendo eshop for 2 bucks 90% off atm
ОтветитьPeople who don't like this have a little bit of A.D.D. and slightly lower IQ.
Ответить35 gigs on the switch?!? Jesus Christ
Ответитьi do like this game because spy game are just soooooooooooooooooo rare. So considering how rare spy rpg's are, if your want to play one, this is about your only option, or 1990's Covert Action from Sid Meier. This is a genre that needs more games
ОтветитьCool looking game!!
ОтветитьIt's pretty good especially if you're a big fan of turn-based games like XCOM.... however, my only complains ... the missions can get a little too repetitive.... I completed the original story using the CIA which unlocks the secret organization ( i can't remember what was it...anyway ) ..Haven't played it for the 2nd time yet....
Ответитьnice bookmarks
Ответить$6 right now on psn. Tempting. Thanks for the comprehensive review.
ОтветитьShame it's broken as it has potential
ОтветитьI love phantom doctrine because I love espionage games, alpha protocol was awsome I remaster it for the ps4, I learnt on phantom doctrine it's best to do recon before you start a mission because you can get a hold of some disguises for your operatives
ОтветитьIf ur gonna play this on Nintendo switch the game freezes here an their on enemy turn remember to load / save
ОтветитьThe best of this game is no RnG in combat. And its on sale now.
ОтветитьNow available at a discount on because of the Steam summer sale until July 8th!!
Ответитьgood video bro 💪, I like it
ОтветитьI have to admit, I did not know about this game. Your review is pretty solid, this looks so similar to Commandoes from the early days. 40-50 hours actually does sound like a good amount of time for a game. You can't even get that from some of the more marketed games.
ОтветитьIt's cool that you can assign them duties to do on their own. Good review
Ответитьreminds me of mgs haha
ОтветитьSteam Sale!! 90% off for Phantom Doctrine or 74% off the deluxe edition!! Get it while it's hot! The sale is on until the 13th!
ОтветитьAs an Xcom fan I'm really interested in buying this game. I've heard it has some issues and some crashing problems at times. I'm eyeing it on Xbox to see if it goes on sale.
ОтветитьJust downloaded it on Switch because the price dropped to $1.99, but the text is *so small * that it's far too much of a hassle to play the game. 😕
ОтветитьI quite enjoyed this game. It was a breathe of fresh air. A stealth xcom game was something I didn't expect and quite enjoyed it. Also the enemy dodging in this game is affected by awareness and this is something I learned after my KGB run. The higher the awareness the better the chance to dodge or take less damage. The lower the awareness the higher the damage you take and you will most likely get shot. That's why you can't just go balls to the wall shoot enemies without a care in the world so you need to use items like flash bangs or abilities that lower enemy awareness to get a better chance to do damage. Hope that clears the combat.
ОтветитьI just got Cold War today and none of my blueprints or guns are showing up. Did this happen to you?
ОтветитьGood review and mostly agree with you. This game was really fun when I played it. Very much a B-rate game, but was mostlyon point. After figuring out that the game ISNT xcom and the mechanics arent just a copy-paste, it became more fun. My only real issue with the game was that it was that it dragged on. A lot. Starting out was exciting. There were cool mysteries to unlock and figure out what's going on. Each level had objectives and secondary objectives and the balance of trying to stealth and ultimately fight was pretty great. Maps felt complex in a good way and unlike a lot of time in xcom, I felt there was a good amount of thought that made me win scenarios and when the cock-up cascade began, it really allowed for some inventive approaches. The issues began about half way into a campaign where each map became a bit too large and a bit too time consuming to complete. Where earlier on I would do a few maps and some base management, it felt that the further I went, the longer each step took. Everything went from fun to a bit of a chore (individually dressing up and equipping each of your dozen or more agents, moving people about, and then going into a scenario and systematically trying to do all the goals). It's in a weird place for me, as the complex and large levels were actually pretty impressive, and the tools at your disposal are really fun. However, it also makes things go on way too long. The game itself had a middle ground and I think there needs to be a balance shift in the map design where if you are doing lots of missions, they should be pretty small maps or low on secondary objectives to make them faster, while throwing in larger more complex levels as "bosses" or story features.
