Jinja is an alternative, but it's not the default:
"Django ships built-in backends for its own template system, creatively called the Django template language (DTL), and for the popular alternative Jinja2."

I'm stuck now at splitting pieces of template. For example, you probably want to save main menu block into separate file. But how would you pass main menu data object? Do you copy it (the query) to every view? Do you make a separate (getMainMenuData) function in views and pass it to every context or what is your approach?
