Olive Video Editor is amazing. while the 0.2 version with the nodes based editing is hard for me to wrap my head around, i just love the way the 0.1 release works and as long as i have the option to use it similar to that, i will be happy. really rooting for this video editor to get support and donations.

I would suggest making it stable with the features it has now. Do not add new features until stability is achieved, then start adding features after that. This project has so much potential, I am surprised more people are not working on it. This is NOT just another video editor.

Olive tried to fill an important niche in the Linux ecosystem. it had a lot of potential, but you can't ride on that forever. I hope another video editing program with similar ambitions comes out one day.

i can download it normally if i skip the dll issues it is showing (like 59), and i think them doesnt affects the program, but idk if someone else have had these dll problems

I have tried and used many video editors but Olive stands apart though there are few downsides which are fully understandable given the fact that it is opensource. It has a massive potential to be a great video editor. Development team, please try hard to issue a stable release ASAP.

I tried making a 4 minute single image music video using 0.2 and it wouldn't convert it to a usable video format. It saved on my computer drive as a project file that only Olive can open. There was no option to edit the audio level. Olive 0.2 is totally worthless.

I've been waiting on Olive for 30 months now. I have given up and have moved on. Donated real $$$ to them for about 6 months of that but after realizing the one-man-team can't get it done in my lifetime, again... I moved on.

While I DO love open-source concepts... in the real world, one must get some REAL work done, and quickly.

Rooting for the olive team. I use a Chromebook mainly and the Linux portion lets me use video editors like this one. Looks promising

macOS - Right click say open. If you disable the check-in settings. But opening 3rd party is pretty easy in macOS

has anyone had the problem after you export your finished project the audio plays in a higher speed?

Imagine buying a Mac and not being able to run whatever software on it LMAO

Fingers crossed this one will get into beta and stable release. I really like Olive Editor

I would like to see a video reviewing Cinelerra GG video editor. No one even attempts talking about it.

I think they should make it stable and usable and release it
And add new features in next 0.3 release
