Such a waste. Somebody tell this guy to use optix in user preference and only have 1 tile render. He is gonna get massive performance boost. Rendering all those tiles actually slows in down. Because it has to “start” and “stop” when transitioning to render a new tile. Newer stronger Gpu has evolved to render single frames now. Unless if it’s 4K. Use 4 or even 2 tiles for that.

I'm still not seeing any impressive results with actual motion animated graphics. These are just stills. Im convinced that I need 20 RTX QUARDO 8000's with 42gb of memory on each and 120gb of computer ram to do anything significant on a pixar level lol

Hello, I need a new PC that I will use to render in Blender Cycles with GPU, which of these 3 PCs do you think would render faster in Blender using GPU?

I have a question. Do you need sli to run this multi gpu system? Or you can plug the cards without sli and Blender recognize them in any case? i'm asking this because card like the 3070 can't support sli and i have to buy a new workstation, and i want a multi gpu system with the 3070. I also wanted to know if having only 2 video cards connected to render is different from having 2 cards in sli. I mean: if it's better or worse or if it just doesn't work without sli.

in conclusion, 2X RTX 3090 costs 7000$ ( after price inflated ) it almost equivalent to 7X of Quadro RTX 8000 that's totally cost 54000$ (in discounts) for Blender rendering.

this is just only the GPUs,

When your GPUs finish a tile and move on to the next tile they lose a small amount of performance. Its better to set your tile sizes to something between 64x64 and 512x512. This will result in higher overall GPU usage and generally faster renders. This assumes you keep the number of tiles to a multiple of your number of GPUs. Turn on the blender add on "Auto tile size" and you can easily swap between them.
