And this is why I will always love John Mayer
🧡
SRV
As a guitar player for many years and a blues lover, I must say that these fellows have done one of the greatest performances I’ve ever heard. Congratulations to all of them.
Ответитьim sorry but this doesn match stevie rays energy when he performed live
ОтветитьIt doesn’t get much better than this!!!!!
ОтветитьThe best part about this performance aside from the epic soloing is that the ORIGINAL Double Trouble is playing on stage. What a moment!
ОтветитьSweet! Boy does this take me back!...Ty soo much guys for this!
ОтветитьCrazy to think Number One looked like that one time in its life.
ОтветитьGreat to see Tommy Shannon bassist for Double Trouble up there keeping things tight!
ОтветитьWonderful.
ОтветитьJohn's solo. Damnn! This couldn't have been better
ОтветитьJohn says best vocally here. He's dam near sounds like SRV.
ОтветитьThis is terrible. They should be ashamed…
ОтветитьThey aren't fit to lace SRV's boot laces.
ОтветитьWith all that talent on stage… still nothing like Stevie Ray Vaughan 🎸💙🦋
ОтветитьThese guys played well. SRV used very heavy strings on his guitars and he used dumble amps. Very rare and very expensive amps today. They are not made today. Cost of a used one is at least $100,000 dollars. I know Joe Bonamassa still uses that amp. It is part of the reason he had such a great sound.
ОтветитьI love the respect and admiration musicians have for each other. Every guitar hero has his own guitar hero.
ОтветитьWell well... we have here the great Double Trouble, who accompanied SRV in his career, playing with all these guitarists... Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Chris Layton and Mr. Tommy Shannon.
ОтветитьIt’s just me or Jimmy Vaughan was a bit lost and out of tempo
Ответитьgary is like the modern day freddie king, the voice combined with the playing is out of this world
ОтветитьI only wish Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame can be more about Rock Music like these
ОтветитьJohn Mayer is the one that's NOT from Texas.
ОтветитьIs it just me or the bass is often tempo. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what I heard.
ОтветитьWell you've heard about love givin' sight to the blind
My baby's lovin' cause the sun to shine
She's my sweet little thang, she's my pride and joy
She's my sweet little baby, I'm her little lover boy
Yeah I love my baby, heart and soul
Love like ours won't never grow old
She's my sweet little thang, she's my pride and joy
She's my sweet little baby, I'm her little lover boy
Yeah I love my baby, she's long and lean
You mess with her, you'll see a man get mean
She's my sweet little thang, she's my pride and joy
She's my sweet little baby, I'm her little lover boy
Well I love my baby, like the finest wine
Stick with her until the end of time
She's my sweet little thang, she's my pride and joy
She's my sweet little baby, I'm her little lover boy
Yeah I love my baby, my heart and soul
Love like ours won't never grow old
She's my sweet little thang, she's my pride and joy
She's my sweet little baby, I'm her little lover boy
John Mayer’s solo is just perfection 🤤
ОтветитьShould have let Jimmie take a verse of his little brother’s iconic song.
ОтветитьComeback after 5 years just to hear John's solo
ОтветитьExcellent stuff.
ОтветитьJohn Mayer has an amazing Stevie tone in his voice... goosebumps and watery eyes... SRV for life!
ОтветитьGary has that sound!
Ответитьdont understand why they let john mayer have his part of singing his voice is awful i like him as a guitarist but not as a vocalist
ОтветитьBlues elegant
Ответитьjohn mayer's playing on this song was levels above the others... he's hands down the best blues player of this generation, just hear the melodic nature of his solo, he makes the guitar sing.
ОтветитьGreat jam. We miss Stevie.
ОтветитьDoblle trouble tommi , chis , Reese y Jimmy +'invitados (en su estilo )
ОтветитьPerfection !
ОтветитьDoyle is great....Jimmie is the real deal. It opened right when Jimmie started playing.
ОтветитьSorry but Jimmie is not a good guitarist lol 🤦♂️
ОтветитьPretty effin cool, all great players. Jimmie is old school cool!
ОтветитьWhat a night and day difference between him and SRV. I just finished reading SRV Texas Flood biography and apparently ppl considered Jimmie the best guitarist in Texas during the 60s and 70s. This was during the same period of time that the greats like Freddie King were already established, while young guys like Billy Gibbons were playing throughout the state of Texas and were already established. In Eric' Johnson's case he too was establishing himself at a young age as Jimmie Vaughan in Texas around the same period. I cant believe people thought and still think that about Jimmie till this day. I feel like Jimmie is overrated and style wise, to each his own, but the way ppl put him on such a high pedestal for guitar playing, he is absolutely boring. I mean people were comparing him to Eric Clapton for christ sakes lol. Am I missing something, because nothing about Jimmie's style says Clapton.
ОтветитьJust shows how extremely good Stevie was.. Love you Jimmie!
ОтветитьJohn solo is just much better
ОтветитьPure class proper tribute 👏 🎵🎸🤠🇨🇱
ОтветитьAll four of them combined could not capture the aggressiveness and attitude of his rhythm playing, let alone his solos…
And yet I STILL think it’s as close as anyone will get 😂
I love this tune rhe way Jimmie moves when he swings his guitar and jumps around with the rhythm ❤️💖. Am going to see Jimmie Vaugh live in Cincinnati on June 17 @Ludlow Garage!! So excited can't wait!! Best guitarist in my book.
ОтветитьDoyle is hot and this is an awesome tribute to SRV!!
ОтветитьJim Mayer finally got 😎 COOL!! Never thought he had it in hiim l was wrong!! These vatos locos are nothing but Blues 💙 I freaking LOVE 💘 IT!! MISSING STEVIE!! RIP
ОтветитьThey should do a Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Brothers, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan tribute concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison Colorado and Festival in fabulous Black Rock City Nevada and Coachella Music and Arts festival with performances by Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Mac MacAnally and the coral reefer band, Sheryl Crowe, the Eagles, Don Felder, with Styx, Peter Frampton, Richie Sambora, Joe Bonamassa, Orianthi, John Mayer, Dead and company, Eric Clapton, Doyle Bramhall II, Gary Clark Jr, and double trouble with Jimmie Vaughan and the stage will look just like desert rock tour gig in guitar hero III legends of rock during the encore it raises its arms
ОтветитьI recently read an interview with Chris Layton of DT—he said how much fun they all had at this event, how much he loved Jimmie’s and John’s speeches, how good he thought their performance of Texas Flood was, and how much fun they all had playing together again. I was relieved to know that bc not all inductees have a positive experience. One of the trade magazines (can’t remember which) ranked all the RRHoF performances, and this one was ranked very high on that list.
ОтветитьWatching him is like watching bethoveens piano teacher
ОтветитьThis is such a neutered version. They should have put John Mayer up there with double trouble, giving him one of Stevie's personal guitars and told him to go wild. It would have stolen the show. I've always wanted to hear John Mayer cover Stevie Ray Vaughan, and this wasn't what I thought it could be.
