In spite of it's flaws, Halo Infinite will always have a special place in my heart.

Having lost my girlfriend to suicide, I can entirely relate to Master Chief's sorrow upon losing Cortana. His emotions affects him as much as my own. The writer did such an excellent job at fleshing out Chief's coping with his loss, not sugarcoating it in the least. Sometimes I can't help but feel like I could've done something to help my beloved.

I will always cry at this scene. I will never understand the path they were trying to take in 4 and 5 and why they took her from me. This new bot is cute but a constant reminder of what was beautiful and great before.

On one hand, I agree that Halo 4 should have been the death of Cortana. On the other hand, if that was the case then we wouldn't have gotten this beautiful scene.

This was actually 343 apologizing to all the fans for completely destroying the Cortana storyline beyond repair, they had to kill her off and reboot her in universe to keep the character around.
