From those months, May through to September, choose September.. Especially in Cape Town. It's after the heavy rains of July & August and it's spring. This is when Cape Town is at it's most beautiful and you are most likely not going to have (that much) rainy days. May might also still be OK, but June - August I would avoid purely because of the weather and wanting to do outdoor activities too.

What a load of sh!t. South Africa is a FAILED state. No electricity for most of the day, corrupt politicians, those with knowledge on how to run a functioning society were either killed, ran out, escaped, or left. You would be a fool to go to SA.
