Last I checked an NDA can not enforce information that is public so by the company tweeting about it she would be able to talk about it since its now public information

Stopping USA monopolistic private-public private from spying on your people is tight. The USA complains about Tic Toc. South Korea just wants the USA to pay for Big Brother to have the privilege. Then South Korea can buy the data when they desire. It's a win for both governments and the corporations involved. Be patient and it will be worked out.

Korean ISP's are greedy AF! They are charging companies like netflix/twitch etc 10x+ more to use their bandwidth. They are not running out of bandwidth, they are just trying to play the system and they are gonna lose out big time.

Summary of the korean issue here- this is what having no net neutrality looks like. So ISPs can charge eachother exuberant prices for getting data from them and sending data to them. If they smell money or just want to crush you, they could make arguments that you are a special case that needs more fees (or they bottle neck you until you pay more fees). This is usually done for the detriment of foreign services,

The company brought in someone to take care of their talent, that person then slept with their talent that is not the talents fault, the person who should have been taking care of them, instead took advantage of them and ruined their life, fuck that company

I think the vtuber awards were kinda tone deaf to the vtubers they claim to be celebrating since anyone into it knows how vitriolic the fan bases are and they could have easily reached out to either the talent or the company and asked if the nominated person even wanted to be part of their show before hand and it would have killed all the drama, or maybe they created the drama to get people to talk about their show.

Several of these bullet points bothers me in that they are not very transparent at all. For instance define "misuse of controlled substances". The last bullet point is very suspicious that it is misleadingly not actually specific when they went to such lengths to air out so much other stuff. It just states "secretive relationship" ... which could be anything. Even the "secretive" part can be subjective and last I checked companies love to take terms way too far or have them taken way out of context. It comes across like an overblown technicality being exploited. But I could also be wrong and it could be something actually very bad. If anything this half information seems far worse than either having none or all. Which, again, I would not be surprised if that was the whole point the company did it. To anyone seriously looking at this from all angles this just makes everyone look bad and for good reason.

THIS stuff is why things like Vstream is so needed along with alternatives like with Rumble;
that places make their own things such they can have "Twitch at home" that are globalist to use and access................................ and if not well that is what VPN are meant for? ;-P

But for reals that it is meant to be the "World Wide Web" for a reason. just, damn.

So I recently watched Pippa's and Dizzy's OOC Chat on Dizzy's channel, and both of them have been in the vtuber scene for a long time. They talked about how if a company needs to advertise its transparency to you, that it is still marketing itself and trying to create a good image. A company exists to make money, not love, so everything they do is ultimately in service of money. Be aware of that when you shill for a vtuber *company*.

I mean, I really understand the reasons behind the law - private companies started abusing public infrastructure with their higly assymatric traffic to the point that any other usage became difficult. It's the Korean citizens who are ultimately paying for Twitch to prosper. If they were an ISP who only leaches traffic from other networks, but doesn't provide their own infrastructure, then no one would sign an agreement to connect them to their network. And with the amount of traffic they sponge they can be considered one.
It's a shame streamers got on the short end of the stick though

it's messed up that they targeted foreign companies specifically. afreeca and other korean streaming platforms didn't have to pay those crazy prices. i know SK is really protectionist but like twitch was bringing in a lot of foreign capital into south korea cause a lot of korean twitch channels had foreign viewers sending money.

You could say it's transparency but to me it just seems like too much info like how your friend describing how he did it with his partner with more detail but not full detail. "We did it like this for this long in this position" is very different from "well we did it" same as how "She was terminated for breach of contract that could endanger our brand and our viewers" VS She did "these *lists her crimes specifically" still not in full detail on how she did it but is still already too much info that seems informal and a bit unprofessional since it was not info the customers were owed even though I know some would argue that we deserve to know why but in a company processes and punishments and reasons for those internal processes and policies and punishments are not info that needs to be disclosed to it's customers.

Sure that may be different for public figures like entertainers and entertainment companies but streaming is unlike showbiz that it does not need to live on drama an controversies so not having full disclosure of why a talent is being let go is not an obligation of the company to it's viewers. It's literally too much info about what's going on in the company and their employees disclosed to people uninvolved with any of those processes and unaware of any internal policy and have absolutely no say on what happens to said employee.

Radical take but I think all "Terminations" should be 100% transparent while "Graduations" should be vague posts. If a talent is harming the brand the company should be saying why she is ruining it (without saying secret stuff or doxxing the talent). While graduation notices, like Vesper and Magni's, should be vague to protect both parties.

We all have speculations with their departure but we can all kinda agree that it was amicable. Imagine if the reason was released; "Not enough pay?" = "Cover is cheap" or "They're both divas"
"Too much responsibilities" = "Management sucks" or "They're lazy"

With amicable departures its better to be vague to not cause hate on both parties.
