Phenomenal documentary! I distinctly remember watching this documentary back in 2008. Understanding the essence of stress and exploring ways in which stress evaporates have significantly changed the course of my life for the better. I am extremely thankful and grateful to all who made it possible.

i show this to my 9th graders but i break it up and explain parts. i think it helps but i wish i could show it to senior and junior students. i feel like they get it more. i think as an adult it showed me what matters is the hierarchy that matters is what i have control over. The feeling of control you have and how you perceive the stressors shows you have the control. it lowers your stress

Look at what our governments are doing to our economies ? They’ve made joblessness , homelessness, and despair common place. The middle class has been eliminated . They’ve lost everything with no hope in site. They’re the new homeless joining the mentally ill and drug addicted in the streets. Even senior citizens are being put under extreme stress. Even the deathly ill are homeless. All this while giving illegal immigrants homes , food stamps , and jobs.

All Stanford freshman need to watch out for Sapolsky on campus, looming around the corner with his blow gun.

There once was a CEO who went to the beach
On the Beach, he met an old man, on a beach chair, with an uncast rod
The Ceo asks "Old man, what are you doing?"
"Why I am lazing about," said the old man

"Why aren't you fishing?" asked the CEO
"Why would I fish?" asked the old man in return
The CEO responded "If you fish you could earn some money selling fish"
"That is a good point" Replied the old man "But what good is money?"

The CEO, frustrated respond "Well if you earn money you can afford a boat!"
The old man smiled, "I do love being on the water"
"And then you can make money open water fishing" in turn said the CEO
With a glum work, the old man said "And why do I want to open water fish?"

"So that way you can earn more money and start a fishing enterprise!" exclaimed the CEO
"Ok, that would make more money, and why would I want that?" replied the old man in patient humor
The CEO, contented said "So that way when you are rich you can spend your days relaxing at the beach"
the old man stared at the CEO and asked "What do you see me doing now?"

You can read about giving rather than receiving in the bible. Same with not going off on someone because we're having a bad day.
