Thank you so much for this video! 👍🏽
ОтветитьThis is why you never buy frame vehicles in salt climates. They all will rot.
ОтветитьNever buy a car off the street and even those used cars lots are iffy, I bought two used cars certified from the dealer and thank God no issues..
ОтветитьIf a vehicle looks good and I go to see it, first thing I do is check the undercarriage,,, Ive walked away from so many vehicles that "looked' great topside. Ill take body dents any day compared to underside rust. AND, always get a pre purchase inspection from a qualified mechanic if you are not familiar with cars. Pre purchase inspections are the best investments you can make.
ОтветитьEveryone comes across one item they really can't resist making an example out of. Man, he had fun.
ОтветитьToyota trucks are known to rust trough and break in half
ОтветитьRandom questions. How do you determine what the “maintenance required” warning is referring to in a 2021 Highlander? Ours has 47000 miles. Will the xtool scan tool identify the issue? Thanks.
Ответитьcause? salt on icy roads? never seen this in australia except in mines where they wet dusty roads in salty bore water.
ОтветитьBefore buying look underneath, take photos underneath with a good camera. Why is it not a crime for anyone to try to sell an automobile in this condition?
ОтветитьJust stumbled across this channel trying to learn more about cars. I use to buy used cars a decent amount when I was in hs through college and few years after. Luckily I never ended up getting fleeced. Just bought a new limited 2023 4runner so no used cars for me for awhile. Anyway man these are great informative videos, you truly a blessing helping people out that know little to nothing like myself about cars.
ОтветитьToyotas achilles heel are those damn frames. Got 30 year old Fords that look better than 15 year old Toyotas.
Everything else may be broken but the bones are good
If the paid over $500 for that clapped out toyota they robbed the buyer and then some
ОтветитьDon't tell me a "man" bought it... smh... today's men.. are not men!!
ОтветитьHey Amd ! I have a question on a vehicle I want to buy and it is the TRD Supercharged 2001 sequoia Limited, 4x4 v8 with new belt/pump 2k ago in good shape at 190k miles. What is your thought on the reliability of this the 4.7 v8 with the factory supercharger and does the blower need rebuilt every now and then ?
ОтветитьIts OK. LOL
ОтветитьDon't you have mandatory vehicle inspections in the US, like we have in the EU? A car like this would never pass, way before it got this bad.
ОтветитьThat Sequoia sure took a beating from it's previous owner. For such an indestructible vehicle, it sure got totalled through years (probably) of improper use, neglect and bad maintenance culture. Such a shame
ОтветитьThanks for the professional advice. I used to inspect only the exterior and interior quality.
ОтветитьI was checking out a Sequoia with 125K miles. The oil pressure was modulating up and down at idle. Watching this video, I'm not impressed with Toyota. Seems like a lot of problems with 200K miles. My GMC truck is still going strong with 300K with very little issues. I must admit, I did buy a newer 4runner.
ОтветитьThank you so much CCN.
Ответитьwhat a gentle man from Iraq . we love you keep the good work.
Ответитьyou're pretty critical of a 3 grand car that will take you anywhere you want to go
ОтветитьThat Sequoia has either been flooded, or spent a lot of time at the beach. It looks like it took a salt water bath.
ОтветитьGet the part from a junk yard it's 2001?
ОтветитьWhere are you located at in IL.?
Ответить❤ "GM level problems" ❤
ОтветитьIs that suppose to be one of the frame recall models? If so, did it get a frame replacement?
ОтветитьGM style problems lol
ОтветитьGood reason to spray everything underneath with Fluid Film or a couple of similar products on a yearly bases
Ответить4 minutes in and everything is identical to my sequoia right down to the trunk latch cable and broken tailgate trim lol. Luckily I have a good frame and no leaks.
ОтветитьPretty basic stuff. Hard to imagine anyone not seeing the numerous red flags and running away. All of this was visual, no scan tools or any other diagnostic equipment was used in this "analysis". I think almost everyone would spot these flaws.
Ответитьat first i thought. Not that bad. When he showed the leaking head gasket i thought. Ok would not have bought this. The moment he showed the frame: No person should get this...
ОтветитьLuckily in other countries, mandatory safety checks on every sold vehicle not only make this incredibly rare, but the people selling them if caught will be fined and face jail time.
ОтветитьIs this from the bad frame years?
ОтветитьWow, didn't think an 01 would be that bad.
ОтветитьAh yes buying a used car and then doing 7 years worth of maintenance. That’s ok if it’s basically free.
ОтветитьPeople will glance over the holes of rust? What "people", the blind?
ОтветитьLoved this video. I agree with everything you said. Not enough videos like this exist. Well done.
ОтветитьHulk hogan was the last owner of this car
ОтветитьBut wait!!!! There's more!!! Just think that there's vehicles like this in the thousands out on the roads!!
ОтветитьUse a tie truck and sell for scrap.
I wouldn't spend a dime on it.
Well done, very detailed in all the things everyone should check when buying a used vehicle.
ОтветитьMy fam been looking for two cars for over 3 months.every damn day🥴 I don’t want to get a lemon and sometimes within in hrs when I find a good cheep on pe under 7k it’s gone🤦🏽♀️
ОтветитьRed-flag about this video. Mechanic in the video believes governmental inspections are the answer. What a joke. No government on earth would catch the problems in the frame of the vehicle in the video. The biggest red flag against buying the vehicle in the video would be the HIGH MILEAGE AGAIN, the high mileage should be the biggest consideration for NOT BUYING THE VEHICLE. This video is not realistic in terms of helping wood be buyers. Again high mileage, years in service and Northern winter environment should have been the determining factors FOR NOT BUYING THE VEHICLE IN THE VIDEO.
ОтветитьGreat video!
Ответитьits pretty cool to get a car that was owned by “Clark Kent” though. every thing that journalist touches breaks “for some reason”
ОтветитьThose shifters breaking was a common problem on that series as was the rear door latch. I had a friend who had one of these and I had to work on these issues.
ОтветитьToyota recommends an octane 87 (research octane 91 or higher). For my 2022 Toyota Avalon. So my question is,do I use octane 87 or 91??
ОтветитьSomeone abused that SUV
ОтветитьThank you for making this video. Very informative and enlightening. 😊
