This happens in EVERY third world country. I'm Mexican American, so I've seen this happen in Mexico, Costa Rica, Thailand, etc.. This never happened to me in Canada, Germany, Ireland or Japan.

These taxi drivers in Manila are not good people. I only met 1 driver who didn’t scam me, and I gave him extra. I was just so happy to finally meet a honest taxi driver!

This Taxi scam has been going on at Manila airport for many many years. Why Gov and AP admin allows this is a mystery.

Before there was grab, that was traditional wait of taxi. Low men are distorting the reality. If manggagantyo kayo ng transportation fee, dapat sa una pa lang sinabi nyo na. Para hindi na sumakay at pinakinggan ang kasinungalingan ng mga taxi drivers. Grabs are neat. Basura na ang driver basura pa ang taxi vehicle. Gusto pa ng mataas na bayad?

Be fair manong taxi. Wag manlamang sa kapwa. Bakit may metro kung di gagamitin?

I got scamed by one of those motherfucking taxi drivers in Bacolod city ,and this motherfucker had his meter on and others in the same company are not equipped with meters. So the first thing I do before I get into a taxi is ask the taxi driver if his vehicle is equipped with a meter .Tricycle driver pull a difference scam since I was the only one in the Tricycle. Foreigners and tourist beware .

This is the one of the reasons the philippines has less tourism than Thailand. Also, taxi drivers sometimes they will not take me to certain areas.
