I feel like them "making" some of the sotv stuff is them just following directions from hopoo

I personally cant get over the fact they sold of to one of the worst publishers on the planet... gearbox.... with a awefull history
As such i probably wont be buying any of the future stuff they make in terms of ror 1 and 2 as i dont want to give my money to a company like that.
But my own gripes aside im happy for the fanbase that doesnt mind that they are getting a remake they have wanted for a while!

Just downloaded risk of rain 1 on switch in order to get redwy for risk of rain returns. I do haye we never gor surviors kf the vlid on consoles tho. Hate how much that happens with indie games.

I honestly am not as happy as I wish I could be. I am a console player and it is just disappointing the state of the game. But at least Hopoo is better than Gearbox.

ESPECIALLY the fact that it's being developed fully by Hopoo. Gearbox has actually done a pretty damn good job with ROR2 content, but I wouldn't prefer anyone else to remake one of my favorite games other than the devs who originally made it.

idk if it was just younger me but my experience between risk of rain and risk of rain 2 is drastically different because in risk of rain i got destroyed as soon as i spawned since everything had high health and this worm thing one shotted me, then in risk of rain 2 things are easier. I don't know if its because I was young back then but I hope they change it to be better than risk of rain

do we think this game will be playable with other button mappings than zxcv and the dpad? I recently tried ror1 and didn't like that mapping, or the fact that you can't map anything to left and right mouse button

I happy about this but I'm on console and we don't even have survivors of the void yet and it makes me sad I hope it still coming out. I really hope this comes to console as well

No waaaaaay! This is making my night!

ror2 being in the state that it has been for so long, especially on console (and no new survivor models ever) is quite frankly unacceptable and now we know why. This is a big pass for me. I simply do not care.

Listen if mithrix is a secret playable character that would be insane just imagine how instead of a capsule being shot down you spawn at a teleporter and when you beat providence you get a different ending

Why I bring this up and why I think they could do it is because mithrix basically has a full kit of attacks that he could use just look up the ror2 wiki and look at his attacks for his phase 1 they fit so well

Edit: alternate moves can be from his phase 3 that would be very hard to get such as beating the game with every relic on monsoon

The biggest W here is the revamp multiplayer, i love the first risk of rain but daaamn was it annoying to set everything right to play with others

Risk of Rain was amazing, Risk of Rain 2 was less so, in my opinion. This is huge news for me.

The thing is that I have never player risk of rain 1 and I really LOVE the RoR2 style.
I hope the 2D is going to be fun as the second one :D

I wish they would do RoR Returns in the RoR2 engine instead. It really looks like they are going to remake it exactly like the original, side-scroller and all.
I mean I loved Risk of Rain as much as anyone else did, but the new engine is far superior and more immersive, not to mention allows for VR capabilities..
I think more people would be interested in this if they weren't returning to the old engine and art. I'll still play it but I'm low key disappointed they chose to go that way

I dont want risk of rain 2 to be done with future content :/ I was told before survivors of the void that we was gonna be getting paid content for the game too from a friend and I was excited for it. imagine the new stuff they could still add to the game.

im happy to know that if gearbox fucks ror2 there'll be something to fall back on, i'll still get it even if ror2 remains a great game, because we all know that ror returns is gonna be amazing

I've never been much of a fan of 2D platformers which is why I ignored risk of rain 1 in the first place. However this looks INCREDIBLY promising as a game and it would be amazing if they made it available on mobile as well!

I LOVE ROR2 and I convinced my friend to play it and he loves it too. I'm still sad to see Hopoo no longer associated with ROR2 but I am hopeful that Gearbox will remain faithful to the franchise!
