it breaks my heart because when i was in high school i was in the special education classes and across from my homeroom was a classroom tailored to those with down syndrome and i got to go and visit them it was the happiest time of my life

This episode of what would you do at times makes me feel extremely angry and livid. And why is that? Because I'm a American citizen with a disability and I'm mentally disabled. And I've faced discrimination many times in the past. I vividly remember when I was taking the city bus and the bus driver was losing his patience with me and took his anger and frustration out on me and I felt emotionally discouraged and upset. And I was so upset that I couldn't speak up but after telling my mom of what happened, she encouraged me to call up the bus company and report the discrimination that happened towards me and they dealt with the bus driver and reprimanded him.
