The moment he said “Air Chisel them out” I ended the video because I was too poor for this creation.
ОтветитьJust replaced mine today! Thanks for the video! The inner joint was a tough one to get out with only having the car on jack stands. But that was the only hiccup! Very easy and informative video
ОтветитьDoes it always have to be when accelerating at turning?
Be im gett that noise tur the wheel at idle
The clicking is from the combination of it being a Chevy, being in a demolition derby based on the body, and the fact that corners were cut by wasting money rebuilding the half shaft. Rebuilding the half shaft leaves metal and dirt in the joints that prematurely wears the bearing down and fails all over again. Replace the half shaft with a new one. More efficient and lasts longer
ОтветитьI'm good with this guy
Ответитьgood technical explanation of outer Axel CV joint issues # mostly out axel CV joint collapse & create problems #👍🇵🇰
ОтветитьMy 20 year old shitbox has the same sounds whenever I'm accelerating while turning. Is it better to replace only one axle or both sides??
ОтветитьWhat truck is that you made it looking easy
ОтветитьNice video! Great for me since I am newly learning about car maintenance. Two questions:
1. What fluid systems does the grease leak from?
2. What should be done to make sure that the new axle is properly lubricated and that the fluid systems are maintained?
I put new axles and it still vibrates and squeakes? Any idea
ОтветитьInteresting video thank you
ОтветитьAny here use 1aa auto parts before?
ОтветитьI have a 2016 Chevrolet Traverse LT all-wheel drive it makes a clunking noise when you take off and it quits making that noise once you get going. It shutters when your going up hills and taking off at a low speed. I got my transmission oil changed thinking it would help but still no help. Any suggestions
ОтветитьWe're a u want to fix mine
ОтветитьNot the volt
Ответитьhow long does it take to repair, and how much should someone expect to pay?
ОтветитьMy car makes this sound only when it is idle. While driving, no such sound. Can you please give probable reasons?
ОтветитьWould be super if you relay the torque specs as you're tightening each bolt and/or nut. Please keep that in mind for next time
Ответитьi have an 05 freestar,it makes that clicking noise only when i back and turn the wheel would this be the cv axle?
Ответитьtop vid
ОтветитьIs it possible for a pebble or something to cause that noise? Noise has gone.
ОтветитьWhy after I change one the axle in my car still make noise
ОтветитьPlease do a video on starters!! Specifically for Chevy Silverado 2500hd 6.0 gas engine I have a feeling the fork inside starter that pushes the gear in and out has broken and causing my gear to move loosely and smack into the bindex when I’m driving around creating a weird tink tink sound
ОтветитьWhat if I can hear almost the same clicking noise, but when car is not moving and steering wheel rotating back and forth? (Sienna 2008)
ОтветитьPerfect video! Thank you sir!
ОтветитьGood video
ОтветитьGreat job my brother😊
ОтветитьI never saw the c clip? Did you have to remove it using a special tool? You just got behind axle with a big punch and hammered..everything else was great...just confused about how you removed c clip..
ОтветитьI got 2018 hyudai accent my problem is when i move my car in slow speed in traffic there is a noise underneath..specially when i it's long drive!!but i drive faster i cant hear anything!
ОтветитьI'm truly impressed that you called that a simple job, haha...
ОтветитьYou can repair a split boot by filling it with grease using a plunger or a used hair dye bottle, then cleaning the outer surface of the boot around the split with a good solvent, and then applying a decent quality marine sealant like Aqua Seal or Sixaflex. That's the cheap fix.
ОтветитьI just had our local garage replace both front axles in my 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 within the last two months. Unfortunately, last Saturday I had a complete axle failure while on the highway 20 klicks from home. I was able to limp home and get the truck into the garage on Monday. We found out that the tripod joint had failed, and the failure had nothing to do with incorrect installation as I originally thought. A brand new axle failing.. interesting. Your video is very informative and helpful, thank you.
ОтветитьWill the truck shutter slightly while turning on take offs only? Doesn't do it when straight. Feels almost like torque converter slipping.
Ответитьcould u clean the bearings and cage, regrease and put back? instead of replacing ?
Ответитьi had a loose lug nut cluck before---good pointer
ОтветитьAny ideas for trucks that are 2wd, but still hearing clicking at the front end when backing up and turning?
I did all ball joints, and tie rod inners and outers, brakes, and swaybar links. I'm really scratching my head with this one.
I've got this issue but it's mostly when I take my foot off the gas pedal at around 40 mph, anyone have any ideas?
ОтветитьSuch an informative video, thank you! I seem to be getting intermittent clicking noise at higher speeds too as well as a humming noise when turning at very slow speeds especially when i have my foot on the brake to slow down at the same time as turning. Any ideas?
ОтветитьCan u also mention the causes and also if they are covered under warranty! Thanks for your work !
ОтветитьWhat did you do to that tie rod nut 😂😂😂
ОтветитьI had this happen to my car today but I'm confused wat it will be??? I was driving esrliar an out of no where I started hearing this loud clicking an clucking noise but from my side an wen I went outside to check the car that's wen I found that it was leaking a bit of water but it was mixed with grease oil???? So I'm not sure of that's engine oil or something else??? But the issue was coming from my side only,,,,which was the driver side????
ОтветитьIf the boot is intact and there's no grease coming out but you have a small clicking noise but it only started after we did the front ball joints upper and lower and the rocker arm on a '99 Corolla what do you think that could be besides the CV axle I'm dumbfounded
ОтветитьReplaced CV axles on a AWD jeep grand Cherokee. Still have clicking and popping sounds from front end. Any ideas?
Ответитьmy car is misbehaving exactly
ОтветитьEnjoyed your video, I have clicking sound when I turn either right or left, I will be taking it to the shop because I live in a apartment complex, really no where to do the job but now I know....good feeling to know.
ОтветитьThank you for that I had a mechanic today tell me it's not my cv but the boot was ripped when I baught the truck and now 2 months later it's starting to make a little noise at acelertion and 4 wheel front drive side time wearing inside of tire thingy it's my cv.?
