I really hope hope they give us one more update mod support would be amazing but even one of the unreleased master levels would be great!

Something's up. ID Software is definitely cooking something. Mick Gordon even released Eternal post on his Instagram (Main Menu Theme Track Layering). I thought he wasn't even allowed to post Doom Eternal related content anymore, ESPECIALLY regarding the soundtrack. Hmmmmm.

I'm not too bothered about waiting some more; Classic Doom has PLENTY of mods to keep me occupied :) I genuinely hope it's some sort of SDK or mapping tools so we can have our Eternal Slaughtermaps, that'd be ridiculous fun

Hopefully we get some new content and bug fixes for console as well since we don't have mods. Would like for horde mode to be reworked. It's fun but it gets extremely repetitive. Some new Maps or something would be nice. Maybe they can have it on a weekly cycle where you get a different horde mode challenge to complete. Maybe one week it's starting at cultist base them going to Mars core to then teleport to urdak. Another week it could be starting at cultist base and then going to super gore nest to then finish at nekravol.

I'm tired of these kind of videos, I've seen so many "cancelled" updates, its the same quite period like what happened between doom 3 and 2016

All I can say is that I'm sad how updates just up and ended for Eternal. It went out with a whimper

Also, it's time for a Quake reboot. Doom is done, for now, it's time to bring back the gothic castles and the Cthulhu monsters.

I miss playing battle mode on doom eternal with actually competitive matches on Xbox. Now a days you be lucky to even find a match

I don't think it's the end for Doom Eternal, i know that the people behind it are pretty much the kind to go like "fuck the deadline, we won't release if not ready". They're just taking their time, it's not the first time they do this.
But i'm not sure, it's a really long time since i played the game.
Last time i launched it, it was when the horde mode was added. I'm thinking about getting it on my PC (was on PS4 until now).

Who fucking cares? I still got Doom Eeternal DELUXE.

I haven't actually played anything DOOM except for some Mighty DOOM in over a year at least. I can wait a bit longer if needed, but I'd still definitely be excited to see 1 of my most favorite games ever get official mod support. Hopefully we get it on console as well, and Sony decides NOT to do that BS they did with Fallout 4 and Skyrim where mods couldn't contain external assets. Ruined the experience and point of mods IMO.

If that happens, they have to make major modifications to their own engine’s editor suite, as well as the base engine for modloading. If they release a modified version of id Studio 7 for us, allowing for things like 100% custom levels for the first time, it makes sense that they want to test it rigorously before releasing. They might also be prepping documentation, or even a tutorial video series on how to use id Studio 7. The list goes on
Long story short, this update is gonna be big and a good sendoff before they shift gears completely to DOOM: The Dark Ages
Also, big possibility that they release this update on the 5th anniversary of the game.

At this point, just make the mod support for both TDA and eternal
