My white daughter was just denied a scholarship in a foreign exchange student program. She’s dark complected and the person that let her know she was being denied joked and said, “Next time, claim some sort of ethnicity. They never get denied.” 😑

Though to come think of it, when you mean systematic racism you mean like jobs and colleges being racist?
But I thought that the meaning of systematic racism is that when one race is done bad, the other race can be racist back after the racist white folks already died...... and that we moved on from it.

Well you can get low grades but make amazing work outside of assignments that showcase your skill level as well as writing well for applications. She may have got in because of her skin or maybe she shown potential in other areas. Not sure why she let him degrade her like that, but hey maybe she’s does suck. She did go to school she’s now trashing years later. Probably makes bad decisions haha

Well I graduated with a 3.89 GPA and got only 1000. In scholarship. She does not realize that she is not that black. It is a politics they do to prove that they are not racist when in fact they are. In fact race does not really matter anymore but how dark you are. If you are light you are acceptable regardless of your race just make sure you are not black in color.

I am biracial(black and white), and this is why I marked off 'white' in my college applications. I had to submit an additional application for the film program in the school I ultimately wound up going to. I wanted to never question whether my being accepted had anything to do with my race. I knew I was there because of my grades, scores, talent, and potential. No regrets with this decision.

I wish you could see our curriculum most recently. I applied for an appeal to have an additional class added to my schedule. I was told that they needed to see if it was appropriate and not a toxic combination. and I’m in school for a public safety and I was asking to take a cyber security class in which I would’ve paid out of my pocket. I asked if this was a term used and if they could give me a definition she could not

I wish people could just give scholarships based on someone’s ability and on their future. I mean isn’t that what they should and used to be doing. Like they’d be able to tell if you have potential in a certain field and so they wouldn’t mind paying your intuition. That way when you went on to do greater things after graduation they’d be able to boost their reputation. It shouldn’t be about ethnicity or religion, and any other thing as such

Been following you for a long time now lady, when I thought all hope was lost I saw people like you starting to speak...and it gave me hope. I hope that this country can turn around the brain washing that has been done. By the way, yea I might be white, but I am a first generation immigrant (legal), I did get my citizenship and served this country for 8 years. My heart was always here (even my mom said that, she knew since I was little that I wasn't going to stay). I have been here now for over 22 years and watched as this downspiral progressed. I'm scared, scared that this country will turn into what so many of us have fled or ran from. We fell in love with America for the opportunity, opportunities we didn't have. I was able to get my Masters here. I worked hard, raised a beautiful young man that now owns his own business. And have a husband that works blue collar. You can make it here, no matter what color you are, no matter where you are from. If you apply yourself and work hard.

3 types of Racism from Black Power USA (1969)...

Personal Racism - Hatred in the heart. Eg Shouting the 'N' word at a Black Gentleman in anger.

Institutional Racism - Laws and Legislation that very obviously favour one person over another based on race. E.G. Affirmative action and Jim Crow.

Systemic Racism - The accidental discrimination of a person based on race/culture through ignorance. E.G. Stenographers in court incorrectly transcribing the words of 'Hood' folk. Due to the misunderstanding/mishearing, the court documents were Incorrect and that could effect parole hearings. They now get trained on 'hood' speak.


Can we please start using these terms correctly. We will be much better recieved if we can show then we know what we are talking about.
