Google and other browser makers are implementing Manifest Version 3 for Extensions. This affects not only Google Chrome and Chromium based browsers like Microsoft Edge, but also Mozilla Firefox and Apple's Safari. You don't seem to comment on claims that Manifest V3 is google's attempt to prevent adblocking - which seems to be most other people's take on what they believe to be the true reason for Google to implement V3.
