Every time I go to this fight and this plays… all I can think is that it reminds me of those overly dramatic final anime fights lol

every single time I play The Final Day OR hear this song, I tear up. I havent done The FInal Day again until recently and just like when I FIRST ever did it, I was sobbing uncontrollably. This is so good, it will always be my favorite.

I have to come to this video now because every time I get this trial in roulette we completely skip the music drop by killing it so fast. On the upside, I can't wait for the Endsinger ultimate in a few years where this will be the theme for the final phase.

I love the bright light crashing against the purple darkness at the edges of the arena, and when you reduce her HP to 0, the light just overpowers her and she's engulfed in it and is disintegrated... such a cool way to do a boss arena. And how she keeps doing the same few attacks over and over again, having lost a lot of her powers, just doing her best to try to push the light back, but ultimately she can't do much of anything that you can't easily overcome.

This song and fight had me both rocking out and teary eyed. Not simply because of the theme as someone whos dealt with bipolar type 1 for much of their life, but also because after the story we had played through...after all the emotions we went through not only as a PC in game but also as players enveloped in it...this song was a painfully epic culmination of our journey and will to see what a new dawn holds beyond the horizon.

This is gonna sound cringe but, For me the story was about overcoming ultimate despair. Even when all of your friends, loved ones disappear, die, or we feel left behind, we are never suffering alone. All of us are fighting this despair together, never truly alone. We can do this.

wrapping up a story we've experienced over years, The throwbacks to previous expansions musically was a given. And the way they're weaved together alone is impressive.
Endsinger was a great, if somewhat unexpected end. And no matter how they brought the story to a close in Endwalker, having the second phase of the final boss *OUR* time to really beat the living piss out of doom, fear, and despair to our very own, beefed up song to get that perfect sense of triumph when she finally falls. Even if they HAD to do it, they most certainly did not skimp on the quality of it.

God I can do vividly see performing a dissidia ex burst to this!

Not to be cringe, but the first time this phase popped during the MSQ run, I got some chills.

Did they get inspiration from fox’s yunalesca for the end singers design? There were a lot of ffx bosses and she gave me a yunalesca vibe

Phase 1 of the Song, is the Warrior of Light singing of their countless victories and calling out a prayer of combat to Halone.
Phase 2 is everyone else singing of the Warrior of Light and how they see her.

I remember getting to this fight and when the vocals came on I lost my shit, such a great fight.

if i had a nickel for every time a ffxiv expac final boss panicked in the final phase and started flailing at you wildly, i'd have two nickels. which isn't much but it's weird that it only happened twice

You are actually a pretty good healer. The healers for my group sucked, and I ended up dying a lot. Btw, I am a Reaper.

Amusingly, because Hermes was too afraid to teach Meteion about his home lest he "bind" her to their realm, he inadvertently sealed her fate. Had he taught her, she would not have been corrupted. But because he didn't teach her, she severely underestimated how strong hope could be, to the point where our friends' desire to see us safe overpowered her control over Dynamis

Before I started the final walk, I decided to change my job back to Scholar, my first job and before I said to my friends in a Discord Call "I want to end this the way I started", And my friends decided to do a full party for the boss, I was almost blind the entire fight because the tears on my face wasn't allowing me to see well.

I'll never forget when I played this duty and after the tank limit break, someone who knew that it was my first time told me I had to use LB right after. Panicked, I didn't understand, as our LB bar was empty and I didn't want to wipe out team. My teammates even were like "DUDE DO THE LB WE'RE GOING TO DIE ".
I thought we had died, everyone in the chat was like "bruh come on" and then thancred's voice appeared, followed by all the scions. A truly amazing moment.
I'll never forget that one comment in the chat : "thank god thancred and all our friends were here and knew how to lb". Only a moment ff14 could provide.

Our hope and dreams... Were the answer all along. Side by side our comrades, we stand firm!
