They look awesome, but why not making towers, they are as large as towers, with the stands?
Ответитьnice enclosures
ОтветитьHey you're cool. Good video funny bald man
ОтветитьFerrite core inductors are not good for speakers!
ОтветитьYour amount of creativity is next level, Beautiful speakers and stands as well!
✅🍿
It was an incredible job... All I can do is admire and drool... because to accomplish such a feat, a lot of expensive equipment is needed, which unfortunately a very small portion of people here in Brazil have access to.
ОтветитьNice work and video. I was hoping to hear a track from that Public Enemy Tape...
ОтветитьLooks like all the other cookie cutter speakers /\ 2 way,,, drivers expensive and not. A. Eye cstcher on the specs,, this presentation and the build are very COOL!! the stands are sweet..
ОтветитьI was going to leave a negative comment then I saw you own a dachshund. 😊
ОтветитьI am currently listening to " Apache - steel guitar " on my 1978 home made speakers. They each contain one 15 inch woofer, two mid-range drivers, and four tweeters. I did have to eventually replace the outer foam rings on the woofers due to the rubber foam having turned to dust. That cost me a whopping 27 dollars and several hours of work. But then they were back to being as good as new. The front panels are black, but that too had faded. I finally found some black wood stain and re-stained them. Now they look as good as the day i made them. Everyone who has heard them asked me to build them a pair. I also just brought my 1978 Soundcraftsmen PE-2217 equalizer back to proper performance. The 20 Faders ( potentiometers ) were stiff and intermittent. But that thanks to using Deoxit and a silicon lubricant, all is brand new again.
ОтветитьAccidentally stabbing a surround with a screwdriver is one of the reasons why I respect a brand more if they ship speakers with square, hex, or torqx screws, as the bit fully seats into the screw head and will not jump out while driving in the screw.
ОтветитьAmazing work! Grills not my favorite but overall, well done!
ОтветитьMan I fucking hate ramen noodles
ОтветитьHow do you measure genius. I asked my Dad’s best friend once. His name was Dr Tim Ball. He was a climatologist and highly intelligent. He told me that true genius came from the ability to communicate with anyone at their level. You do this. You have a building with every component.. tool to make things seem effortless in execution.
As most geniuses go… I applaud you in your abilities. Very impressive. Truly.
I just want you to know that this comment is negative!
ОтветитьBack when you were rocking your ball caps with the tag on them still lol.... I was building competition level sub boxes and door speaker enclosures (speaker cloth and fiberglass resin and cloth- maybe you can use that somewhere down the line ??) HUGE audiofile and listening to you with Klipsch speakers which are absolutely my favorite i've ever heard but HATE the factory shelf liner looking exterior . Already had plans of using some Osage Orange to wrap around the existing speakers but definitely borrowing the old guitar amp speaker cloth idea ! Being from that era and amps and guitars on my walls , it's absolutely bad ass Dave ! don't know how they sound but they look awesome , including the bent veneer and foam ! You are goofy as hell in a good way tho ....😂
ОтветитьBro, I have the Samsung MX-F730 mini-system and I want to make an adaptation, use the speakers and just put them in a little box on the PC table to make it more compact and have a nice sound... do you think it can be done?
I'm from Brazil (São Paulo) and I really liked your video
What you did for the stands is pure genius! I have never saw anyone do something close to what you have done! And the grille cover is quite elegant too. Amazing! Thanks for the video!
ОтветитьExcellent 😊
ОтветитьDaaaaaaaamn those are great can I have one
ОтветитьIt’s nice that you’ve got the sides of the walnut sticking out like that. Nobody does anything like that. That’s just unique
ОтветитьBrother make a wooden framed bike PLEASE
ОтветитьPeople started talking the grills off because they cause diffraction and I'm truly not trying to be negative it's a real thing you should take measurements with and without it might make an interesting video speaker design is science and it takes testing
Ответитьthis is not a neg comment but i thought it woule have looked nice if the speaker faces were a mirror image of each other
ОтветитьLove it! But I'd flip one grill so it's mirrored 😊
ОтветитьNot rabbits... rebates
ОтветитьI don't know whether I'm more impressed by how clean your wood shop is or how the speakers turned out haha.
ОтветитьI've been building speakers for 30 years. For your first time at it, you did really well!!!
ОтветитьThis is not a bad comment
ОтветитьNicely done, super sexy stands, you rock!
ОтветитьThey're not negative comments.... they're spicy words of encouragement
ОтветитьThis project turned out really well, the stands perhaps even better than the speakers (aesthetically speaking)!
ОтветитьFantastic build! You will enjoy the hell out of those speakers. Good job on raising the drivers with the gasket material. However not negative but just so you know you will still be getting some defraction from the walnut front edge that protrudes passed the front baffle. I know probably not a big deal but you know Audiophile 😃🔈👍🏻
ОтветитьThese are BEAUTIFUL!!! Is it my graphic design OCD that I want the point at the top of the grill fabric to be pointing in opposite directions?
ОтветитьYour column was pleasured and that is not NEGATIVE!
ОтветитьBut, But... DIFFRACTION!
ОтветитьMad skills plus the ultimate workshop. I am jealous!
Ответить👍👍😎✌️🤟
ОтветитьGeneric positive comment
ОтветитьCassettes?? 😂
ОтветитьLove every video you put out; hands off haters!
Ответить"I tell you what!" 🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьVery nice! Reminds me my old Advent speakers.
ОтветитьBeautiful job sir, coupled with the warm hearted, personable presentation, twas a delight to behold.
Now, I am far from an Audiophile, and this is in no way (meant to be) a negative comment old sport...merely a question. Wouldn't leaving voids betwixt the glued components as opposed to full coverage of the mating surfaces lead to the possibility of unwanted acoustic vibration? Just asking!
I hope that everyone understands that they would cost at least 3k USD finished. Super build with a superior kit of speakers.
ОтветитьYou are so freaking inspiring! Makes me want to get out in the shop and make something! loved the Edit and your shop is fun quirky spot unlike any other woodshop! loveyoubye!
ОтветитьWhat is that decorative orange piece on the cabinet next to the record player?
Ответить👍
