What is Resizable BAR (Smart Access Memory)?

Hardwareunboxed is an amazing channel. They explain everything that you just said in their video......im failing to see the unprofessionalism from them. I get they deleted your comment, but man do you see their comment section? Its full of ppl asking questions they just literally answered. Id cut them some slack

It's crazy that even in late 2023 re-sizeable bar isn't considered an absolute must enable feature. I hadn't even heard of it until my son was playing wreckfest for the first time since I upgraded our gpu from a 1060 to am rx6650xt. After doing some searching, I found a post on a forum mentioning it, and sam. I have an amd 5600g and 16gb of 3600 ddr4. The difference with that one game was staggering, went from stuttering mess, dips into the 30's to buttery smooth locked 60fps using only 30-50% of the gpu. Loading times even seem to be quicker.
Why someone would nerf amd cards during testing is beyond me. I'd compare it to two car manufacturers. Each one implements a sport button into their top of the line sports models. One manufacturer really takes advantage of everything they could to bump up hp when the sport mode is engaged, where the other does not. While testing these two vehicles head to head, should both be turned off, because it creates an "unfair" advantage to one make? I know this is a year old video, but thanks for you great explanation of rebar!

Moving your mouse over two drop down menus and selecting enable or disable on your bios is apparently too difficult for your average user 😂

Why did a Brazilian choose Australian accent?

Hardware unboxed are AMD shills. I have unsubscribed from their channel long time ago. They never use DLSS on nvidia tests, never overclock Intel cpus, and they also had very underwhelming videos about the new Intel gpus. on AMD cpus they went extensive lengths to get a mere 100Mhz on overclocking though.
If AMD have a feature, they praise is so much is annoying, while constantly bashing Ray Tracing.

But hardware unboxed's explanation makes sense. They didn't want to test with a feature not available to all their viewers at the time that skews results towards one product or another. It's nothing to do with nvidia bias, you're literally quoting them from a video called "12GB GeForce RTX 3080 Review, Shameless Cash Grab Edition".
XMP/DOCP is a feature available to all viewers (and probably benefits all products equally) so the comparison doesn't work.

Without seeing the initial comment, it's impossible to know whether HUB where justified in calling it moronic.

HU do test with SAM now, and I PERSONALLY prefer to see testing with SAM because it's relevant to me - but there's a problem. How do you compare AMD with Nvidia; using a setting that is only relevant if you have a specific series of CPU?
If you put 6800XT up against RTX 3080; The title of "better performer" may well depend on weather you used a Ryzen 5xxx CPU with SAM on - or you used ANY OTHER CPU (and cant use SAM).
I get where you're coming from; but I also see why they have done things differently.
