I know it wasn't in Carl's nature (and I wish it was in no one's nature), but unfortunately, once you get to the socio-economic / political conditions the USA is now in (2023), where the top 10% essentially own the whole country, where the three richest billionaires in the USA have the same net worth as the bottom 50% of the population (164 million people), where corruption has rotted every facet of the government, at every level, including fascist (read: Nazi) billionaires OWNING at least two supreme court justices, and one of them for decades, the use of guillotines of those in power and their descendants is the only way forward. Consider that the conditions that led to the Declaration of Independence in 1776 where a walk in the park on a sunny afternoon eating ice cream compared to the dystopian third-world country the USA is now.

How sad that such an intelligent man as Carl Sagan was, had to die, instead of all those horrible politicians and other people in power that are still alive doing so much harm to us , to the earth, or to the "Pale blue dot" as Carl Sagan called it.

Sadly, he took part in the birth of the global warming fraud in order to secure research funds for the likes of NASA and NOAA in creating the bogus boogie man. Unwittingly he contributed to the concentration of power and wealth and the unholy matrimony of globalist politicians, corporations and hedge funds to maintain power indefinitely. And he calls god the illusion. He now sits in hell for both.

I've wondered if et's would approach earth these days, and be shocked to see all the hardware 'floating around the earth, and think, holy crap lets get the hell outta here... that is NOT intelligent.

actually the heliocentric model was already known well before this and can be seen in the discovered synagogue foundations of the galilee region in the rediscovered temples known to be from the Nazarene 4th Sect Galileens dated around 1st century AD and earlier. it showed this religious group of the Jesus and James Church who were a controversial sect of the Talmudic faith because they revered also the Astrological procession. this was what was discovered as the foundation fresco's in these temples. Amazing! they knew about this heliocentric model 1600 years before Galileo! anyway this is all referenced by researcher ralph ellis in his book jesus of edessa.

Wow... this man was so amazing. I never seen more comments about a person who's past, be full of admiration, respect, love, and longing. Everyone brings up the fact that he's dead but do so in their own unique way. Its absolutely beautiful.. Carl Sagan would be filled with such delight if knew now how much people in the world still cared about his vision.

The way carl is able to articulate complex ideas into simpler form has motivated non science people to take interest in science and physics. Indeed he is one of the greatest mind to ever lived on this ''pale blue dot''.

There are more ridiculous ideas released upon us in the name of the flat Earth than almost anything. The one exception I can think of is the existence of God. There must surely be a reason why so many believe in both.

Carl Sagan is a good physicist, but I have no idea why was he so attached to the human evolution idea, even though the one who have done it has ZERO evidences and it was around 160 years ago which the scientists weren’t able to detect the real historical events and calculations, & he published it as nothing but a hypothesis.

I have a neighbor that believes the Universe is 6000 years old. I was in shock.

Carl was a brilliant man. He nearly speaks like a robot or alien doing their best at perfect English. However I did catch an error I will keep to myself so I think he was fully a human 😂. The other potential flaw is he thinks that it’s up to him to decide what is real and not and only through his techniques does he believe things about our existence and reality. This has clearly been around before us.. at least. I’d say it’s here because we are here but still before us.

Carl Sagan has such a way with words that everyone hearing him is enraptured by his usage of the English language and profound understanding of science that you just shut up and listen.
