Nice video, I have 2 D750. I tend to use manual mode with auto ISO most of the time on all my cameras.

Could you do a video on d750 setup with soft box lighting. I kept getting a bright white band across top of photo. I was using a 24-70 2.8 lens

How do you shoot in manual mode when you may need to change scene quickly to catch an unexpected shot?

Cheers for the video content! Excuse me for butting in, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you heard about - Riddleagan Create Memories Remedy (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is an awesome one of a kind guide for creating amazing artistic images with these secret tutorials without the hard work. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my GF at last got excellent success with it.

What happens when you mount an m42 lense on a dslr... will the camera still meter through the lense properly? Obviously going to loose EXIF data... but will meter readings be accurate? Yes, right??

Thank you so much for sharing educating videos people like me beginners to understand the concepts and techniques.

I’m planning to purchase my very first DSLR which is Nikon D750 along with 85mm 1.8 + 50mm 1.8 G lens. I’m wondering is it still worth to buy this camera considering 5 years old?. Or should I invest in mirrorless which is Z6ii with the kit lens? My only concern is from d750 has 1/4000 shutter speed unlike d780 and Z6ii 1/8000 and 900 seconds, I’m not quite sure this is a show stopper.

Purpose of buying a camera is for taking Portraits, Still, Landscape, Bird, Product photography (learning) and of course my kids.

It would be really great if you throw some lights on my concern to make a wise decision.... other options I have considered is Nikon D780 with one of the lens and Z6ii with the kit lens... apart from D780 and Z6ii I have been suggesting to go with D850 with the kit lens.

Thank you and looking forward to your recommendation.

A good way to shoot in manual mode is to leave the ISO in automatic and set at a maximum value say 6400 so then you can concentrate on your shutter speed and Aperture .

Hi Frederik, good information and thankyou. I've just purchased a second hand (circa 5000 shots - so still young and in good condition). I followed through on each step and learnt a few things, but, when I push the 'i' button, I didn't get that screen but got the Choose image area, Set Picture Controls + others menu? I did reset the camera to specs, I thought? However, I can see that its a deep learn on the D750 after the simple V1! Thankyou in advance Frederick.

When I turn the front and rear wheels the green screen does not come on at the top of the D750. How do I set it like yours so that it always comes on when I turn the wheels?
