Just had an interview for a "disposable job" aka gig.. in food service for an event.
The recruiter was unnecessarily arrogant & acted like me not having experience was an issue.. if I were applying for a job at NASA, & they needed me to build a rocket - yea, be a jerk.. but they literally need people to cut up lettuce & prep, but bcuz Im not "experienceed" I'm not a good candidate.. thats ok, hire an experienced young guy that quits 2 hours into his shift.
Appreciate ur insight.. 🙏🏼 helps us to heal from an abusive system.
Thank you Sir 🎉❤
ОтветитьWow finally someone has said it....Thank you.
ОтветитьSometimes they lead you on feeling you will get the job it sucks
ОтветитьI keep getting rejection and I don't know why
ОтветитьThey are looking for a "yes" man. I am NOT one of those individuals. 😂
ОтветитьIn the last 6 months…… I’ve sent over 500 applications, had only 7 on-site interviews, gotten over 80 rejection emails, and just generally feel an ENDLESS amount of ghosting. Despite constantly changing up my strategies (even applying for more recently-posted jobs and getting noticed slightly MORE now)………………… I am just SO FAR BEYOND DEPRESSED at this point… 😞😞😞
That and I feel LIED TO when rejection emails SAY they’ve “chosen to proceed with more qualified candidates”, especially when half the time, the positions I apply to remain open for MONTHS. Unless they REALLY ARE those annoying “fake job postings” I’ve heard about (that are apparently only made to gauge unemployment statistics and/or candidate expectations)…………………….. What a WASTE. 😤😞
I got rejected today. I spent three weeks there passing in general 5 interviews: recruiter, technical interview, CEO, 2 interviews with a client. After 1st interview with a client got very positive feedback and was sure I will be hired. Then on the 2nd interview I failed in doing some simple things, even though it was organized in a bit stressful form - while talking, writing structure document and analyzing app. But suggested creative ideas as well which was important for that position. And its all not in my foreign language. A lot of effort, stress, waiting.
And they hired another candidate. I am very frustrated.
I live in Ukraine and the situation is veery difficult with jobs. It has been 4 months of search now
Just came from the toughest interview in my life. I have 15 years of experience but the hiring manager was so tough and made me feel so stupid. I hate that I went through that. This video made me feel better.
ОтветитьHi! Thank you so much for this video. I am frustrated and sad at the moment but your video cheered me up. I will continue now in the search. Thanks again
ОтветитьBeen looking for 6 months. I just cannot take the constant rejection anymore. I'm ready to give up.
ОтветитьGot rejection mail just now... Thanks a lot! This helped to somewhat come to my senses ❤
ОтветитьIn the same boat as most people here. What’s more complicated in my situation is as a foreigner , I need the company to sponsor me to be able to work lol ! So I have to impress them even that much more. Long story short, applied to a job where both French and English were needed, had 2 interviews, passed their test questionnaire only to be told that I wasn't chosen because I don’t speak German or Spanish which wasn’t even in the job description ! Anyway, nothing I could have done I suppose. Will keep looking
ОтветитьJust got rejected, they did a follow up call and the gist I got was that they don't want to pay market rate, let alone match my current salary (and I was fine with a salary cut to get a new job!). Now I see the position which is very US-based being posted in India!
ОтветитьTHEIR LOSS THEIR LOSS THEIR LOSS Bye
ОтветитьI was recently rejected by five interviews. Some of these opportunities seemed unreliable, yet I invested significant effort because I wanted to seize any chance I could. Ultimately, I realized that all of these interviews were a waste of time. I've learned my lesson: I will no longer invest effort in dishonest interviews or HR processes.
ОтветитьFirst 20 seconds is exactly how I feel. Just got rejected.
ОтветитьAwesome video man, love your content!!
ОтветитьSo 30 mins ago I posted How discouraging it was to have no job offers. I’m back to say don’t give up! I just got a call offering me a job! I guess it does come down to timing.
ОтветитьEven though this was posted 3yrs ago, I really needed to hear this today. I Interviewed with two different companies last week and was upbeat, the most “myself” I’ve been in an interview in a long time. Result? Still No job offer. I have an Inter with another company tomorrow. So discouraged. I don’t even want to bother.
Ответитьthanks :))) this video was really really helpful
ОтветитьAmazing insights!
ОтветитьJust got a call from HR saying
"We really like you as a candidate but we feel you wont fit in the Job, so unfortunately we have to reject you." This hurts.
I've been rejected again and again, and just got turned down for an administrative job when i have over a decade of administrative experience. I asked what I could improve on, and they said "Actually nothing. You were a great candidate. We just found someone else with more aligned experience." Then checked my email and got a different rejection letter for a different company. And 3 yesterday.
What the hell am I doing wrong?
Good video, Thanks for your sharing
ОтветитьBecause I am seasoned, does not mean I can do the job and work hard from your company. I would be a hard worker and it is their loss. It just hurts, right now.
ОтветитьIt does. Thank you
ОтветитьI dealt with shin splint weight cuts and dehydration, I passed their PAT course and their mental exam I did everything they wanted me to do and I still got shot down. I was even told I would make a perfect C.O. And I had what it took!
ОтветитьI just got denied for a good job 6 figure salary😢 I failed my interview and I feel like running away, I feel so bad. I feel like a failure. 😢
ОтветитьThis was Excellent!
ОтветитьI wish I could like this video 100 times, it is truly one of the most helpful resources when trying to navigate a job search and all of the pitfalls like dealing with rejection and being able to maintain motivation!
ОтветитьI’ve been unemployed since March & these jobs claim they hiring & need people but aren’t really hiring people! No lie it’s been hopeless for me. 🥺 tired of getting turned down! I just need a job with good pay & benefits
ОтветитьThankyou for your kind words. Whilst I am not in that desperate situation just yet (quite possibly will be) I reach out to you all who are doing it tough right now. Keep your spirits up, but hey, try a little prayer in your desperation. Can't hurt right? Maybe just maybe there is something much much more out there that can bring light and peace in your terrible times! God bless!
ОтветитьThe manager wouldnt even look me in my eyes at the interview
ОтветитьWhile I can handle most challenges, it's especially tough to accept that everything I've spent the last month or two preparing for can be undone by a single rejection email. It leaves me feeling empty and drained of all energy. I think the hardest part is the overwhelming uncertainty.
ОтветитьThank you for this. I just got rejected from a job I've spent a month or more in the process of, thinking I nailed it, great energy, great conversation and now I feel numb. I've also been continuously applying and either getting rejected, no response or being told a response time and never hearing back even after sending a follow up email. Anyways its a sucky feeling nonetheless. My resume is amazing, I'm super confident and have great energy during the interview, I just don't know what else to do.....
ОтветитьThis video made me cry, being rejected is the worst. Especially when you prepare yourself and indeed you need the job.
ОтветитьI feel so sad I didn't past on the interview it makes me feel so dowmto my self😢
ОтветитьFor me I could do the job excellently but not the interview though...
ОтветитьI can't even get an interview
ОтветитьI've had 3 very rude recruiters that spoke to me like we were fighting over land.
Damn!! And 2 said they didn't believe I was pretty good as my past works showed.
Smh! I'm glad they didn't hire me. It would have been terrible working for them.
I’m not even given a reason half time
Been turned down from jobs I clearly qualified and the worst part is I wasn’t even given a chance to have an interview.
I’m convinced I’m being trolled at this point.
thank you it did
ОтветитьThere is more fish in the sea
ОтветитьI was so excited after making to the final round of interviews at a tech company . I was so excited that I couldn’t sleep. My salary would have doubled. After the panel interviews were over, then I got ghosted/rejected😔
ОтветитьIt’s been a year and I lost my house thanks to recruiters saying my military experience and college education isn’t good enough 🫡
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьA representative from the company contacted me to apply. The group is my former company's #1 competitor (ftc just ruled non-compete illegal). I know the product, know the landscape on a national level, and know where all the treasure is buried. I went through 2 rounds of interviews. They dragged ass through the whole process. And then they rejected me.
Literally do not understand. Illogical, the whole thing.
I can't thank you enough for this video. Thank you for understanding and providing great information on how to view this situation from a different lense.
