Can you start them anytime of the year? Can they remain in an outdoor pot in Southern California sun?
ОтветитьHi, thanks! I watched three of your chamomile video's and am wondering how you ended up with only two chamomile plants per cell in the middle video, while you overseeded? I want to know because I also overseeded and have like 15 or something germinations per cell and am wondering what to do with them... should I thin them out so only two can grow or separate them and plant them in a litlle more space while they're still just sprouts?
Ответитьi was planting the chamomile seed from 6 month ago, but it fail. Thank you for the tips :)
ОтветитьI have no sound
ОтветитьWill the water from the top soil somehow absorb the water from the bottom? Can anyone confirm pls?
ОтветитьAlways appreciate your videos. Thanks for being informative and to the point. :)
ОтветитьVery helpful video
ОтветитьThanks Gary . love how straight to point you are. Going to do this !
ОтветитьWhat type of soil do you use? Peat moss, standard top soil, compost, sandy alkaline or a combination?
ОтветитьGary u dont use a humidity dome for ANY seed germination???
ОтветитьGreat video, short, precise and some helpful tips!
ОтветитьI know this video is 6 years old but I want to ask can I plant chamomile seed in a country with humid weather?
ОтветитьHi can i use a soft spray bottle to water the seeds?
ОтветитьAwesome. "Seed like Light to grow so Lightly scratch seed into soil", do not cover 1/4 inch like they say since those test seeds are not up yet.
ОтветитьI have German Chamomile growing in a seed tray now. I think every seed I dropped grew b/c there are loads per cell. Do you have a video on dividing? Or How do I thin these? Just start plucking them? I hate to do that. Mine are an inch high and have several leaves each but they are crowded. Should they be individuals?
ОтветитьThank you so much I've tried to grow chamomile several times and have always washed out the seeds by watering from the top. I couldn't figure out how to water them without washing them out I'm going to try this hopefully it will work out for me!
Ответитьcan they be paired with lavender? and or roses?
ОтветитьHi Gary,
Thanks for the informative series..
Can you please tell how long (as in weeks) weeks does the chamomile plant take to produce flowers?
I have started growing a batch of chamomile seeds, almost two weeks old now and germinating well :)
Thank you!
How often should they be watered,?thanks
Ответитьi know this video is 2 years old but i am looking to grow chammomile. Can Roman variety be used for tea as well? i plan on using it for tea.
ОтветитьThe word chamomile is a Greek word and is chamo + milo ( χάμω μήλο ) and the translation of the two words is ... down + apple. Greeks have what you call Roman that grows low and spreads. So as it grows low (down) and has a smell of apple . That's it! I don't know that there are two varieties that are not Greek but have a Greek name! Anyway...take care and keep up all that good work. Cheers
ОтветитьDo you seed start roman chamomile the same way?
ОтветитьThanks for the info! I'm wondering though if the seeds need cold stratification to help with germination. Do you think the paper towel method would work?
ОтветитьGreat info in all of your videos! Do you use fertilizer in watering your herb seed starts?
ОтветитьOnce again a great video! I just ordered some of the chamomile from Bakers Creek and can't wait to get this in my garden. I heard it can be a perennial so I'm hoping in my one which is 7A I can grow it like that.
Ответитьcool idea on bottom up watering, only leaving them to absorb for 20 or 30 mins ill have to see how that works thanks.
Ответитьgreat info, I will be planting some of this too, what is your indoor light cycle ?
ОтветитьHey..
Thanks for the video. How often do you water them?
I'm new to gardening, but my new apartment has a huge deck so I'm doing some experimenting. As a big tea drinker, I started some chamomile along with growing mint from cuttings. I was told I could empty the tea bag and that would contain seeds to start.
Would you have any recommendations for other herbs to grow to make teas?
it worked Gary. I'm soooo happy.... Thanks!
ОтветитьThanks for your great videos, I will be starting my German Chamomile this year.
ОтветитьThe Hoverfly loves the Chamomile in my garden. Anyone who is not growing this, will love it. Like you said, it also self sows easily (I like lots of beauty and very little work! lol).
