Mambo No. 5 - Doom Metal Cover (SMG Oldies But Baddies 90's)

Video recorded and edited on an LG V40 using Kinemaster.

Everything was recorded by my only mic, an sm57. Using a Scarlett Solo interface and Cubase Elements DAW. For drums the mic was pointed in between the kick and snare while being about shoulder height approximately 1 foot in front of the kick. Guitar tone is 4 rhythm tracks of an early 70's Sunn Solarus. 2 were through a 2x12 with Eminence Private Jacks and the other 2 through a 2x15 with Weber Tone Cult Wolverines. The dirt pedals used were my 90s big box LM308 Rat into a Tube Screamer Mini. Bass was recorded by plugging the guitar into an octave down pitch shifter through the 2x15 cab. I applied a stock vst tape compressor/distortion to the final mix of the track for some extra rawness because fuck it.
