How To Fix USB Ports Not Working on Laptop Windows 10

In the 4th method, instead of removing the battery, while using it directly unplugged, it will run out of battery and turn off, but it will probably be fixed when you turn it back on. I've been trying to do it for a week, I tried everything and this method worked. I am very grateful, it was a very useful video for me, thank you.

What worked for me was your last technique!! unplugged the battery, hold the power few second to drain the computer; then magic happened!!

Non of them for my toshiba laptop.but USB ports work fine when i installed windows 7.

Hey guys if you face any problem on usb not connect so what you do first go device manager and do enable driver i will give you a another driver and now enable driver agin and your keyboard work

Since i boight this computer i havent been able to make the left usb so weird cuz it was brand new and this is soooo exhauating

If you're like me & tried everything to have it not work it's most likely a BIOS update that you need. When I bought my laptop I turned off automatic updates because I like to see what's getting updated beforehand. As a result I didn't receive a notification when a new BIOS update became available. Either use your pre-installed program to scan for updates // lookup your model online & see if there's a BIOS update available & make sure it's for your model // Windows version. (Hold Windows key & press "R" to open the Run app & type "Winver" -> Hit enter and it will display your current Windows version). For me I didn't have to look online just used the Lenovo Vantage App, under Device scrolled down to System Update & it found the BIOS update almost immediately. Hope this helps because it was driving me crazy for about a week.

thankyou my guy, your last step help me fix it. currently using w11, i plug power charger then remove it with all the usb port not connected to anything then press the power button for abt 35sec (i dont remove the battery as it is planted) then turn it on again and it worked!

Thank you. The 4th method worked for me! You were the only person that showed me the 4th method to deal with my usb port problem! I even know why I had that problem in the first place. It was because I removed an ssd from my laptop without unpluggig the battery. I haven't realized by covinenece my usb port weren't working after forgetting to unplug my battery when removing my ssd. And to everyone, Don't forget to unplug your battery before doing any hardware changes.

Doesn’t work 😢 saved up for about 7 months of work to get my keyboard, headphones, and mouse. And now I can’t use them.

The 1st one is reccomended if you have windows 10 or windows 10 pro i have window 10 pro and it works smoothly

My laptop didn't had any problems with the usb port bc my old mouse broke I had to buy a new one and yesterday I encountered the problem and fixed it and now I encountered as well so I tried the same method but didn't worked so I inspected the usb ports and they were in perfect state and then did all the ways and no fix. Ig it's the mouse cuz my last one didn't encountered any problems and my father used a mouse on it and didn't encountered any problems
