So as it stands, nothing has changed and it is still up for review when they get around to looking at it at a conference sometime in the future

"Living under these laws" includes people spending more time incarcerated for violating these unconstitutional laws. I'm sure that if it affects a family member of one of the justices or someone in the political class, they would have already addressed the issue.

Really this is breaking news! Just more kicking the can down the road. The SCOTUS has had over 30 years to over turn Assault weapons and magazine bans. And Bruin has yet to do anything at all for us. It will never matter if they don’t take any cases on those grounds. Get real people history proves they are not going to anything!!!!

One simple solution to all these state gun prohibitions:

The U.S. Attorney General can sue states over laws. This happens when the federal government believes that a state law violates federal law or the U.S. Constitution. The Attorney General can file a lawsuit in federal court to challenge the state law and seek to have it invalidated.

These types of lawsuits are based on the Supremacy Clause of the U.S. Constitution, which establishes that federal law takes precedence over state law.
The Supremacy Clause, found in Article VI, Clause 2 of the U.S. Constitution, is a cornerstone of the American legal system. Here are the key points:
1. Federal Law Supremacy:
• The Supremacy Clause establishes that the U.S. Constitution, federal laws, and treaties are "the supreme Law of the Land."
• This means that federal law takes precedence over state laws and state constitutions.
2. Binding on State Judges:
• State judges are bound by the Supremacy Clause, meaning they must follow federal law when there is a conflict with state law.
• Even if state laws or constitutions conflict with federal laws, state judges are required to uphold federal law.
3. State Law Invalidity:
• When there is a direct conflict between federal and state law, the state law is rendered invalid.
• This ensures a unified legal system and prevents states from enacting laws that undermine federal authority.
4. Preemption Doctrine:
• The clause is the basis for the doctrine of preemption, where federal law can supersede or "preempt" state law in certain areas.
• There are two types of preemption:
o Express Preemption: When a federal law explicitly states that it overrides state law.
o Implied Preemption: When state law is invalid because it conflicts with federal law or interferes with federal objectives.

In essence, the Supremacy Clause ensures a cohesive legal framework across the United States by asserting the dominant authority of federal law over state laws and constitutions.

I’ve been saying since day one of these cases supreme Court doesn’t have the stones to take them up, the second amendment is treated as a second hand right any other infringement on an amendment would have already been taken up and decided on.

I had so much fun back in the 80s. We didn't have cell phones back then, but We did have the freedoms to have high capacity mags & 100 rd drums and Russian ammo that was extremely cheap, and you could buy two big size sardine stile cans full of Russian ammo in a wood crate for $105.00 You could also buy a Russian semi automatic kalishmikov AK-47 for only $290.00 which came with two 30 rd mags & a 100 rd drum if you paid $59.00 dollars more. I'd spend 90 percent of my paycheck on guns & ammo almost every week and me and a bunch of friends would pile in my muscle car and go to an open range in lytle Creek california. Those were definitely the funnest times to have firearms you could buy awesome weapons back then in California. California has definitely become a communist socialist state. The 2nd ammendments have definitely been neutered to almost taken away because of ignorant people that don't hold criminals accountable for their crimes, instead they blame the guns for the crimes. There's absolutely no common sense anymore. Trump will hopefully bring back common sense to all these ignorant governors that are destroying our God-given freedoms to bare arms. Save California, stop voting for demon-crats.

It seems to me that all the time the Supreme Court spends kicking things down the road, they could get a lot more things accomplished if they were actually in session. The whole process seems to be convoluted, hyper expensive and dysfunctional. In many ways. I understand there's probably thousands upon thousands of casesthat had toward the Supreme Court on a regular basis. I also understand that according to our constitution, something has to be decided on every case that appears before court. Why does the Supreme Court get an exemption from this?

The SCOTUS is not going to do anything. They have had over 30 years to take assault weapons and magazine ban cases. They will send the case back down or reject them outright. The government is playing the long game. They know In one more generation Americans will mostly just ask to have their guns taken away. They are nearly there now. So they are just trying to slow the process down until that point.

I believe the Supreme Court keeps denying all these major 2A cases because they believe in not to distant future that most of our societies population will adopt a European style anti gun stance.
So they keep punting the cases down the road till then, knowing that if they ruled on it now, they would have to uphold the 2A..

I mean do you see any other reasoning here? I could be wrong, but this is only reasoning I can come up with
